About the NIC UIP program One of NIC Bank’s strategic pillars under its Citizenship agenda is Education. In line with this, NIC has launched a University Internship Program that will offer successful applicants an opportunity to enhance classroom learning through practical career related work experience. The internship program will also serve as a talent pipeline for the bank’s future entry level graduate position. All selected interns will be attached to different areas of the business. As part of the program, all candidates will receive comprehensive induction into the bank. The program also includes mentorship, coaching, branch exposure and project delivery in different departments. Upon completion of the internship program, a well-documented review will be conducted and the top performing interns will be identified for inclusion in the bank’s talent pipeline for available positions. All candidates must be either: Continuing University students: Preferably in 3rd & 4th Years from recognized local or international Universities or Recent graduates: Those who have just completed their degree programmes with a 1st or 2nd Upper Class Honours or with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or above from a recognized local or international University. In addition to the above applicants must meet the following requirements:- Minimum age – 18 years. Achieve a mean score of B (plain) with a pass of B (plain) in both English & Mathematics, in KCSE will be preferable. Attain required pass-mark in pre-employment testing. Provide a recommendation from the University for those who have not graduated. Provide evidence of a valid health insurance cover. The selection criteria will be very robust and competitive and will target top university graduates both locally and in the diaspora. DURATION OF THE NIC UNIVERSITY INTERNSHIP PROGRAM The selected candidates can either be continuing students or recent graduates. The program will run for 3 months.
