Overseas Learning Experiences

Outbound and Inbound

The International Office’s signature undergraduate exchange programme provides a potentially life-changing stay overseas to live and study at one of our many partner universities around the world. It is one of the University’s strategic goals to provide every full-time EdUHK undergraduate with at least one international or Greater China experience.

At the same time, students from our overseas network can exchange in to EdUHK, bringing diversity and further international perspectives to our campus. Both offer a brilliant way to build friendships beyond borders and to learn at first hand about different ways of life. EdUHK students go on exchange for one semester. Inbound students can stay for up to one year. Normally, credits are transferable.

Summer Opportunities

Each summer, EdUHK students can apply for selected programmes offered by partner institutions. Pick the one that best suits your interests and study needs. Financial subsidies is also available for students on government-funded and self-financed programmes.

Short-term Programmes

These programmes add to the diversity of learning by enabling EdUHK undergraduates to interact with overseas students who visit the University on short stays or for specific projects. Examples include: language and cultural group tours in Hong Kong for international partners, including EdUHK student participation; and community activities, such as wall painting in Hong Kong schools, involving overseas and EdUHK participants and local school students.
