TRANSCRIPT
Day 1 - Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum
We begin our journey by heading east . The first stop
on our trip will be at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential
Library and Museum in Springfield, IL. We’ll learn about
our 16th President Abraham Lincoln and the difficult
road he traveled as president. Our hotel tonight is in
Danville, IL.
Day 2 - Shipshewana, IN
We will visit Grissom Air Museum to see many historic
airplanes and other Air Force memorabilia. Then, we’ll
travel to Shipshewana, IN, a quaint little Amish town
where we will explore some of it’s really neat shops.
We’ll also drive out to the Heritage Ridge Creamery and
sample a few of their outstanding cheese selections.
Day 3 - RV Hall of Fame Museum
Today we’ll travel to Elkhart, IN where we’ll visit the
RV Hall of Fame Museum and learn the history of
RVing in this country since 1913. This afternoon, we
should arrive at our hotel in Houghton Lake, MI early
enough to enjoy the sunset across the lake side view.
Day 4 - Mackinac Island
Our first stop today is a tour of the Mackinaw
Lighthouse on Lake Michigan. We’ll then take
a Ferry Ride to Mackinac Island and then a carriage
ride to the Grand Hotel. You’ll get to tour the hotel
and sit on the largest porch in America. Afterwards,
you’ll be able to ride bikes or just relax at our hotel on
Mackinac Island.
Day 5 - Sault Ste. Marie
This morning we take a ferry ride back to the
mainland and then take off to see the Iroquois
Lighthouse on Lake Superior. We then head to
Sault Ste. Marie in hopes of seeing a ship go through
the Soo Locks. We’ll cross into Canada today on the
way to our hotel in Sudbury, ON.

Niagara Falls & Mackinac Island

Day 6 - Casa Loma Castle
Our first stop today is a tour of the awesome Casa
Loma Castle in Toronto, Canada. This afternoon we’ll
arrive at Niagara Falls and see the majestic waterfall
for the first time. After dinner, you’re free to do some
tourist stuff and there’s a lot of stuff to do.
Day 7 - Niagara Falls
First thing this morning we’ll take a ride to the bottom
of the falls on the Hornblower from there you’ll enjoy
the cool mist and wind up close and maybe get
drenched. We’ll also see the Floral Gardens of Niagara
and the Floral Clock and much more. We spend both
nights on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls.
Day 8 - Fort Niagara
This morning we’ll go to the American side of Niagara
Falls and spend the morning on Goat Island. At lunch
time we’ll head to Fort Niagara, originally built to
protect the interests of New France in North America.
It’s a very beautiful place on Lake Ontario. We spend
this night in Mansfield, OH.
Day 9 - Indianapolis Motor Speedway
This morning we’ll travel to Columbus, OH to visit
Scioto Mile, a beautiful park where we hope to have a
picnic. This afternoon we will visit the Indianapolis
Motor Speedway and Museum. We spend the night
in Terre Haute, IN.
Day 10 - Home
Today, we head home to Missouri with a short stop at
the Gateway Arch and Old Courthouse Museum in St.
Louis. You’ll be sad the trip is over, but glad to be
home.
