In the Perm Region of Russia I had the distinct

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, And to keep

himself unspotted from the world. James 1:27

Standing in front of Raisa’s home on the left is Raisa (Angelica’s birth mom) and Angelika. The picture on

the right is Raisa, Angelika, Angelika’s Uncle’s girlfriend, back row is Lyudmilla and Angelika’s Uncle.

I told them how God had touched the life of Ange-

lika and gave them a simple plan of salvation and all 3

became believers. Repentance came down in the

house and again the tears and hugs flowed freely.

Though the mother had not seen the children in 14

years she remembered their birthdays each year. An-

gelika shared that her older brother had been killed in

a car wreck in America and more tears followed.

While I was talking to the family inside our team

was talking to Ludmilla outside and they also led her

to the Lord. Angelika spent some time with her mom

before we left. She took hold of her mom before leav-

ing and told her this; “Mom I want you to know how

much you hurt me and my brothers when I was little,

but know this, I completely forgive you and I love

you.” Angelika, a young Christian girl that fully blos-

somed into a beautiful Christian woman.

On May 14, while visiting an orphanage in the city

of Asbest we received a phone call from Ludmilla. It

seems that Raisa (Angelika’s birth mom) had walked

to her village to pick up her welfare check. While in

the village she told everyone about her daughter that

had come from America to visit with her. She was so

proud of this fact.

On the way home from the village God took Raisa

home to be with Him as her physical body died of a

heart attack. I shared this with Angelika and we cried

together.

death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we

will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. 11.

So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relation-

ship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has

made us friends of God.

Raisa is now restored to the Lord!

I wish I had room I

could show you tens of thousands of orphan’s,

widows and elderly that are as beautiful as

each of these pictured before you. Every

trip our heart ache’s for these who are

forgotten by society. Many are placed in

far away places so that visitation be-

comes very difficult. But God has not

forgotten them. He knows them by

name. He knows everything about their

circumstance in life. He knows you!

“Go to the uttermost parts of the earth” we are told in scripture. In some instances, in areas we travel, we

believe we may have seen the uttermost. Our travel is to far off places where no Gospel message has been

given and no Pastor’s or churches are available. Sometimes we are in extreme danger but God has souls for

us to reach with His love. Come with us and experience for yourself the joy that is expressed on the faces of those above.

There is so much I want you to

see in the photos that are presented

in our newsletters. There is so

much I cannot share publicly but

understand everyone of the children

and adults you see in each of our

newsletters is truly a person in great

need. We at NHOM try our best to

minister to the needs of the father-

less and widows as best we can, but

we can’t do it alone. We need you

standing with us, praying for us and

if you can supporting the work we

do. Our teams visit thousands of

children and elderly every year, we

simply can’t do it alone. Pray about

your involvement.

Widows Ministry, Ekaterinburg

We welcome our newest edition to our NHOM team. Dalarah is a

young widow with children still at home. She has a heart to minister to the

needs of widows in her church and community of Ekaterinburg. I have

known Dalarah for 3 years and I am impressed by her diligence in serv-

ing those with such needs. She has formed bible studies, meetings, and

watches over the widows in her church. She is diligent in her church

attendance and consistently reminds everyone about the needs of the widows and

the responsibility of the church to be active in ministering to those needs. Wel-

come Delarah.

Bahar Dar, Ethiopia

I have kept Pastor Melaku busy for some time. We are in the process of building an orphanage in Bahar Dar and

daily he is meeting with planning committees, the mayor’s office, the children of our orphanage and maintaining their

physical and spiritual development. Money has been donated for a well, and for a building. Property was given to us

by the village mayor and now we are waiting for final word that says we can go on with the project of building. Our

NGO (non-government organization) status is now in the hands of the Secretary of State of the USA and the Ethiopian

Embassy. We are praying for God to expedite these matters as orphans are waiting for help.

Odessa, Ukraine

I hurt my back and could not go to Ukraine this year so Viktoria came

to us. Her Pastor paid for her visit to several Ukrainian churches in Sacra-

mento, CA and we paid for the rest of the trip to come to visit our fair

state of WA. It was an absolute pleasure having her here. Although I

could not travel and show her the sights because I had just had surgery,

others were more that happy to show her around. Her team in Odessa

continues to visit the elderly and orphans and her church is very much

supportive of the work we do there. Again this summer the Church in

Odessa will sponsor a huge camp for the fatherless kids in their region.

Jaffna, Sri Lanka

Please be in prayer as our dear friend Pastor Jason has been in a serious crash. He has a broken leg and arm and has

had to undergo surgery for repairs. His daughter was riding with him but

fortunately she was not injured. Though the war is over and Jaffna was

isolated from the rest of the world, it has now become a major tourist

spot. Jaffna now has become the cradle for sexual violence, teen age

pregnancy and abuses. The ruling party (Buddhists) still keeps the Tamils

under the hands of bondage. It may appear that Tamils are now living in

freedom, but only God knows that the Tamils are still in great danger.

Pray for our nation. The need to help widows is greater than ever before.

Many of our widows are in hopeless situations and need help and training to advance

their position in life.

Ekaterinberg, Russia

One of the great things about traveling with Igor and Olga is that Olga serves

us lunch. Each night she goes home and makes soup or some other item to feed

the hungry workers visiting the orphanage. Volunteers are no problem for this

team. We were so blessed as we visited 1 church, 2 elderly homes and 7 orphan-

ages while in Ekaterinberg. Igor and Olga developed a new skit in which Igor

portrayed Christ (see picture on right). He did such a good job and young and

old alike felt as if they truly were in the presence of our Savior. Each team de-

velops their own material and shares it as they interact with each other.

Perm Russia

Our Olga, who got married in 2010, is now expecting her first child. She has

resigned from NHOM to take care of family matters and she will be missed. We

are very fortunate to have another young man who will work full-time with Nata-

sha. Ilgiz comes to us from Kirgizstan a small country that borders Pakistan and

Afghanistan. Ilgiz can speak 5 languages, plays the guitar and thoroughly enjoys

working with the fatherless and widows. We feel very confident in his abilities to

share the Word and minister to those who are in such need.

While visiting in Perm with our team we were able to visit 3 churches, 3 children’s shelters, 1 children’s

tuberculosis hospital, 3 rehabilitation centers and 1 children’s prison. We ministered to hundreds of kids and

adults. This is normal routine for our teams but for us Americans it was a blessing to be part of such a dy-

namic time of outreach. To your right is a picture of Olga and the baby.

Back Relief

I want to thank all of you who have

been praying for my back injury. I had

surgery in early April and was on my way

to Russia in early May. I am being healed

daily and certainly much less pain than

before the surgery. Thank You God!

Valley Christian Center Lewiston, ID

I want to thank Pastor Mike Richardson and all the people at

this very special church. From the very beginning we have

seen the work that has begun in Ethiopia directed by the Lord.

A special family provided money for a well on the property we

didn’t even have at the time for our orphanage. The Ethiopian

government deeding us a piece of property and now Valley

Christian Center has come along side and donated money for

the building of our orphanage. It will house up to 40 children

that otherwise would be involved in sex trade for children.

Thank you folks for catching the vision with us.
