Student X takes a self-paced course on
Orienteering.
Student X participates in a classroom exercise
where the instructor uses an Android applicationto save comments about the learners
understanding of the self-paced course.
Student X leaves the classroom and participates
in orienteering exercise in the field. They are
tracked by their mobile devices GPS.
All results are tracked and become a part of
Student Xs profile.7

Where does SCORM fall short?
Only tracks single learners, only trackswithin a course
Sequencing took too much time to
implement No best practices were recommended, just
the spec and later, some examples
Needed more APIs for exposing data no
sense of instructor role
The technology it was built upon is nolonger the norm
