DESCRIPTION
A Recent presentation of strategies for sustainable infill housing in the Okanagan. The East Hill Infill follows a prescriptive (LEED for Homes) approach, while the Mission Infill utilized a 'common sense' strategy of passive solar assisted heating and natural ventilation. The former project achieved a LEED Platinum designation while the latter achieve an ENERGUIDE 81 rating.TRANSCRIPT

EAST HILL INFILLLEED FOR HOMES PLATINUM RATED DUPLEX
Replaces 1100 sf home with duplex that can potentially accommodate 4 dwellings.
5 x increase in floor area while only increasing bldg foot print X2
