On the cover: Our cover’s delightful painting was done in our Modern Art Adventure class, in which kids create art inspired by artists from the late 18th-early 20th centuries. This painting was inspired by Spanish surrealist Joan Miró, who was known for painting whimsical shapes and forms in bold colors. We confess we don’t know the identity of our cover artist; if it’s you, please let us know—your art made us all smile and we’d like to thank you.

Sign up for Modern Art Adventure this winter; see page 10 for details.
