Business First As Business Office Manager to Peachbelt’s residents and family members I strive to provide outstanding customer service and professionalism. The business office directs the overall business/accounting activities in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Effective communication is key to maintaining positive rapport with residents and family members. My goal upon every admission is to conduct financial counseling to determine how to best meet the financial needs of each individual. Peachbelt accepts multiple payor sources such as: Medicare A & B, Medicaid, Hospice, Private Pay and Managed Care. Establishing and maintaining an open door policy with everyone helps to eliminate concerns and questions regarding financial status. Medicaid Annual Reviews have always been a key topic among our families in the Nursing Home. Please see below a reminder of the documents required to process a renewal. Always feel free to ask for my assistance if you need help completing the review. The documentation required by Medicaid may have to come from you (such as bank statements) however, I will assist in following up with the status of the renewal. Medicaid Customer Service: 877-423-4746Documentation required for Medicaid Annual Reviews:

Proof of gross monthly income for the current year

Previous 3 months bank statements (this includes QIT bank statements)

Copy of Life Insurance Policy showing cash value and face value

* Please know that you must complete a telephone interview with a caseworker.* The staff at Peachbelt prides themselves in providing friendly and approachable attitudes. I am honored to be an employee of Peachbelt Health and Rehab. My goal is to exceed expectations of our residents and their family members.

Best Regard,Stephanie C. Rylander

April 2014

Birthstone – DiamondThe birthstone for April is the diamond. For centuries, this stone has stood for romance, intrigue, power, greed, and magic. In the Middle Ages, it was used to cure headaches and to create love potions. Today, it symbolizes everlasting love. Besides being the birthstone of April, it is also the anniversary gemstone for 10 and 60 years of marriage.Formed nearly 100 miles beneath Earth’s surface in temperatures that exceed 2700ºF, the diamond is the world’s hardest naturally occurring substance. It is also the purest of all gemstones, since it is composed completely from crystallized carbon. Its name comes from the Greek word adamas, which means “unconquerable.”

Resident CenteredFunny Bunny Centerpiece

By Mrs. Moody

What makes this bunny funny is its toilet paper center. Who knew a roll of toiletpaper could be so cute. You will need:• 1 double roll of toilet paper• Cotton balls• Ribbon• Clear tape• Scissors• Rabbit ears printed on card stock (or printedon regular paper and glued to heavier paper)• Rabbit face printed on regular paper (2 facesper printout)Print a picture of a finished centerpiece to show everyone what you are making.

1. Fold the printout of the ears in half along the dashed line and cut along the solid black lines. Unfoldand you will have an 8.5” x 4” strip with two ears in the center.2. Cut out the rabbit faces along the center lines. Each printout has 2 faces measuring 11" x 4” each. Set one aside to make another centerpiece.3. Attach the ears to the toilet paper by wrapping the paper base around the roll and taping the ends down.4. Position the face on the front of the roll, wrap the ends around, and tape in place.5. To hide the toilet paper center, make fluffy white hair by stretching out several cotton balls and placing them on top of the roll.6. Add a pink ribbon bow for girl bunnies and a blue bow for boy bunnies
