Reception Class had a fantastic time on their Autumn Walk and experienced the changingface of Autumn. Good Luck to those children auditioning for a place in the choir- we lookforward to hearing who has been successful. Just to make you aware, next week children willbe focussing on different aspects of keeping themselves safe, each class will focus onsomething appropriate to their age. Please ask your child all about it at home to reinforce thislearning. Toni Elliott

EYFS Update

We are really proud of how our youngest children inschool have settled into Nursery. The children have abusy day including staying for lunch, and staying awakeall day when you are only 3 is a challenge in itself! Welldone too to our Reception children who now have thechallenge of applying the skills they learned in Nurseryto begin to learn to read and write. They have reallybeen enjoying their topic of Percy the Park Keeper andAutumn. The children have been on an Autumn Walkand even had a special visitor in the classroom Percy

the Park Keeper himself!

We are using new technology in the Early YearsFoundation Stage to record childrens learning and wewill share with parents and carers how they can

become involved later in the year at Parents Evening.

We have a plan in place to improve our outdoor play

area to provide even better learning experiences forour children. Please look out for requests for the odditem that might help us along the way. Our firstchallenge is to build a Mud Kitchen so watch this

space! Thank you for your continuing support.

Please can we remind parents that the school gates donot open until 8:50 am. Children should not be on

school premises unaccompanied by parents before thistime as staff are in school setting up before this time

and cannot safeguard the children outside. If your childneeds to be in school before 8:50 they must go to

Breakfast Club for which a charge of 2 per day is

payable.
