Kelab Alumni BNM has been registered with ROS on 1 April 2011. . .

Kelab Alumni BNM dengan sukacitanya menerbitkan Berita ALUMNI, yang

pertama bagi tahun 2013 atas initiatif Jawatankuasa Eksekutif Kelab. Berita

ALUMNI ini merupakan saluran komunikasi utama bagi Kelab untuk

menyampaikan berita dan membuat pengumuman mengenai kegiatan Kelab

kepada ahli-ahli. Terbitan pertama ini membawakan perutusan daripada

Presiden Kelab Y.Bhg Tan Sri Mohamed Basir Ahmad dan berita mengenai

berbagai kemudahan untuk ahli Kelab.

Message from President

Dear Alumni BNM,

It gives me much pleasure to write a few words on this occasion of

the inaugural issue of a newsletter of Kelab Alumni BNM. I consider

the publication of BERITA ALUMNI a landmark event in the short

history of the Kelab, which was formally registered on 1 April 2011.

I hope that you will find BERITA ALUMNI useful. Through BERITA,

the Kelab will publish important and useful information relating to

such things as Kelab privileges, activities, updates of Alumni

members and of course, important events and alma mater, Bank

Negara Malaysia. Through these and other ways, we hope to foster a

closer relationship and expand networking among Alumni members

as well as to build a durable link with our alma mater.

Building our membership base was a priority of the Executive

Committee since the Kelab’s inception. It was not an easy task for

various reasons as many retired BNM staff live in other cities and

states, issues which the Executive Committee will need to regularly

address. To date, we have only 60 members, a very small proportion

of the total ex-BNM population.

In this connection, I hope Alumni members will actively help to

expand the membership base by getting ex-BNM friends to join the

Alumni. Alumni members enjoy many privileges and benefits, which

are set out separately in this newsletter and which I strongly urge

Alumni members to take advantage of. Together with various

planned Kelab activities and networking possibilities, ex-BNM staff

should find joining the Kelab to be very beneficial.

It is opportune at this point for me to extend my gratitude, on behalf

of Executive Committee and all members of Kelab Alumni BNM, to

Bank Negara Malaysia and in particular the Governor, Tan Sri Dato’

Sri Dr. Zeti Akhtar Aziz, for the generosity and demonstrable support

the Kelab has received before and after its inception. This support

came in many ways, among them office facilities for Kelab

management and use of dining and sports facilities at Lanai Kijang for

Alumni members. I am also grateful for the cordial negotiations and

understanding shown by BNM during the period before the Kelab

was finally registered and formally established.

In closing, I take this opportunity to wish all Alumni members good

health, good fortune and all the very best for the years ahead and look

forward to your active participation and support.

Ahli-ahli Kelab yang dihormati,

Saya amat sukacita kerana dapat memberi sepatah dua kata

sempena terbitan ulung BERITA ALUMNI. Saya anggap penerbitan

ini merupakan peristiwa penting dalam usia muda Kelab kita yang

telah didaftarkan pada 1 April 2011.

Saya harap berita Alumni ini dapat mencapai objektifnya untuk

menyampaikan berita dan maklumat penting dan berguna

berkaitan kemudahan, aktiviti dan maklumat terkini Kelab dan ahli-

ahli serta maklumat terkini peristiwa-peritiwa mengenai alma

mater kita - Bank Negara Malaysia. Melalui saluran ini dan cara-

cara lain, kita berharap akan dapat merapatkan hubungan

silaturrahim antara ahli-ahli dan membina ikatan yang

berpanjangan dengan alma mater kita.

Usaha menambah keahlian menjadi keutamaan Jawatankuasa

Eksekutif semenjak Kelab ditubuhkan. Ini bukanlah kerja yang

mudah kerana ramai di antara pesara BNM menetap di luar bandar

dan negeri yang berlainan. Setakat ini, kita hanya dapat mengumpul

keahlian seramai 60 orang sahaja, satu jumlah yang kecil

berbanding dengan bilangan bekas kakitangan BNM.

Saya menyeru agar ahli-ahli Kelab Alumni dapat membantu

mempertingkatkan jumlah keahlian Kelab. Ahli-ahli Kelab dapat

menikmati banyak kemudahan yang ditawarkan oleh pihak

pengurusan BNM seperti yang telah disenaraikan di muka hadapan

berita Alumni. Dengan kemudahan-kemudahan yang sedia ada dan

akan sentiasa ditambah, sudah tentu menjadi ahli Kelab merupakan

satu langkah yang bijak.

Sempena dengan penerbitan ulung berita Alumni ini, saya bagi

pihak Jawatankuasa Eksekutif dan ahli-ahli Kelab ingin

mengucapkan terima kasih kepada pihak pengurusan BNM,

terutama sekali Gabenor Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Zeti Akhtar Aziz di

atas kerjasama dan sokongan sehingga lahirnya Kelab ini. Sokongan

telah diberi dalam berbagai bentuk, antaranya ialah menyediakan

ruang pejabat untuk operasi Kelab dan kemudahan rekreasi dan

kafeteria untuk ahli-ahli Kelab di Lanai Kijang. Tanpa kerjasama

dan sokongan pihak pengurusan BNM, adalah mustahil Kelab kita

dapat diwujudkan.

Akhir kata, saya mendoakan semoga ahli-ahli semua senantiasa

berada dalam kesejahteraan dan berjaya dalam lapangan yang

diceburi di masa hadapan. Saya juga berharap ahli-ahli semua dapat

memberikan sokongan dan mengambil bahagian aktif dalam

aktiviti-aktiviti Kelab di tahun-tahun akan datang.

Tahun 2012 merupakan tahun penubuhan Kelab. Justeru itu

kebanyakan aktiviti adalah berkaitan dengan penubuhan dan

mesyuarat yang berkaitan, seperti berikut:-

1) Kelab telah mengadakan Mesyuarat Agong Tahunan yang pertama

pada 23 Febuari 2012. Ahli-ahli berikut telah dilantik menganggotai

Jawatankuasa Eksekutif Kelab.

2) Jawatankuasa Eksekutif sempat mengadakan 2 kali mesyuarat dalam

tahun 2012 bagi membincang dan merancang aktiviti-aktiviti bagi

tahun 2013. Walaupun banyak cadangan aktiviti yang dibincang,

namun disebabkan sumber kewangan yang terhad, fokus Kelab

perlulah ditumpukan kepada usaha mempertingkatkan bilangan

ahli. Hanya dengan bilangan ahli yang ramai, dana fee yang

meningkat akan dapat menampung aktiviti Kelab.

5) Membership Drive Campaign

Establishment of the Centralised Shared Services Division – Towards Enhancing Services Delivery

in Bank Negara Malaysia The Centralised Shared Services division (CSS) was established in

2012 as part of the Bank’s continued efforts to enhance the

effectiveness of the operations of its support services. This effort

rationalised and consolidated a large number of common support

services into one business division. By centralising these services

under the CSS, significant improvements in organisational

performance have been achieved with better decision-making

processes, economies of scale and enhanced efficiency in the delivery

of services.

In addition, the establishment of CSS also provides for an

autonomous operational structure, which focuses solely on the

provision of support services and enables rapid assimilation of best

practices, establishes more integrated business systems and allows

for better talent management.

CSS provides 14 common services, including facilities and events

management, human resource administration services, security

management and the operation of the Bank’s Museum and Art

Gallery. CSS provides a single point of contact for the delivery of

these services, which promises more effective user relationship

management and efficient utilisation of resources.

As at 15 June 2013, the Kelab Alumni

has a total of 60 members. Please note

that a membership card with photograph

will be issued to each member. Kindly

invite all to join Kelab Alumni BNM.

The new application must be accompanied by the membership fees

of RM80.00 to be paid to Public Bank Account No: 3989252226 of

KELAB ALUMNI KAKITANGAN BNM. The fee comprises:-

(i) Entrance fee RM50.00 (One time only)

(ii) Annual fee RM30.00

Eligibility

The following can be eligible to become a member of Kelab Alumni

BNM:-

(i) All retirees under the service scheme of Bank Negara

Malaysia;

(ii) All ex-staff of Bank Negara Malaysia with not less than 15

years of service with Bank Negara Malaysia;

(iii) All ex-staff with less than 15 years of service as approved

by the Management of Bank Negara Malaysia.
