Dear Families,
Pupil Free Day
Yesterday teachers attended a day in Wodonga run
by La Trobe University on behalf of DET. The focus
was on understanding learning difficulties, with
strategies to aid teachers with differentiation and
support within their classrooms.
Bike Track and Bike Shelter update
To date we have raised approximately $2100. Tad
will begin work this Thursday on our bike shelter. Mr
Armitage has been busy with lots of students helping
make some feature points along the track. We will
be spreading some mulch and planting some native
vegetation later in the term.
Car Boot Sale
Our community car boot sale is on Sunday 20th May.
Please help us spread the word. We are looking for a
few volunteers to assist with cooking the BBQ. This is
a great opportunity to get the kids involved. We
have small suitcase/bag stall available especially for
kids who want to try and sell some old goodies. No
promise that they wont come home with more. A
cake stall will be run by the school. A plate will be
sent home next week . We ask that families provide
a cake, slice or biscuits to sell at the stall. Helpers
will be required to help sell goodies.
Mothers Day
We have an exciting afternoon planned for our
Mothers this year. We will be providing a
yummy High Tea on Friday 11th May at 2pm
and a social function for mothers in the
evening. RSVP by Thursday please.
School Values
Last week it was easy to see our school value of
support being lived both inside and outside the
classroom. It is a pleasure to sit back and watch
older students helping younger students often
without being asked. This is what makes our
school a great place to be each day.
NAPLAN
Next Monday is the start of NAPLAN testing for
Years 3 and 5s. They will complete 4 tests over
4 days. An information sheet for parents is
attached for Yr 3 and 5 parents.

Thank you
Tawonga OSHC educators would like to thank the
Macklan family for their generous donation of a Wii
and games for the OSHC room. The children have been
having lots of fun taking turns to play the games. This
will get plenty of use as the weather gets colder help-
ing to keep the children active indoors.
Thankyou from Kelly, Laura, Cath and Kath.

Make sure to stick around after the screening for a facilitated discussion exploring the issues raised in the film!
Please follow the link below for further information and how to purchase tickets.
