Green Cooking

Tips from TEECS’ Green Team

Generating enough electricity to cook for an hour in a standard

electric oven creates 2.7 pounds of CO2. A toaster oven creates 1.3 pounds over 50 minutes; a microwave creates 0.5 pounds

over 15 minutes.

Use a microwave instead of the stove to save energy. Microwave ovens use around 50% less energy

than conventional ovens do.

CALLING ALL HANDY PARENTS!

The Green Team is looking to build a bench for the garden.

We are looking for a few handy parents to donate their time to help our students. The Green Team meets every Thursday from 3 – 4 pm. Any parent willing to help out, please

contact Mrs. Jignasha Patel at [email protected].

TEECS’ Book Swap TEECS held its first Book Swap in the Gym on Monday before and after the PTO Meeting.

Students loved getting new to them books! Thank you to Mrs. Hascup for organizing and to

parents and students for donating their books!
