WORK OF THE PUBLIC RELATIONS & PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE

The Public Relations & Publications Committee is responsible for:- Devising innovative ways of keeping members informed of the work of the Union Promoting the work of the Union

It carries out this mandate through work in the following areas: Education - communicates the Union’s mission, vision and goals as well as all information regarding the work of the Union. Media & Promotions - publishes a newsletter, brochures, bulletins, flyers and updates/redesign of the WIGUT website. Other Committees - liaises with other committees to highlight their work and planned activities for members.

The Committee meets at least once per month during the academic year and publishes

the WIGUT brochure and newsletter.

RESPONSE BY THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE TO THE MONA CAMPUS MANAGEMENT ON THE ADDITIONAL ITEMS OF CLAIM AGREED TO BY WIGUT

The Mona Campus Management Negotiating Team has advised that the Additional Items of

Claim for the Triennium 2014-2017 received from WIGUT on October 22, 2015 were

submitted to the Ministry of Finance and discussed with its representatives at a meeting on

October 27, 2015. (See news bulletin sent from WIGUT Secretariat dated November 10,

2015, for further details).

The Collective Agreement with the Government is expected to be signed soon, and this will

mark the finalizing of all matters regarding salary increases and back-pay disbursements.
