Bins We have had a change to refuse bin collection. Previously we would put the bins on the road on Wednesday afternoons for collection on Thursday. This year, in order to decrease refuse costs, we have decreased the number of bins. We found in 2019 that some members of the community were using the school bins for personal rubbish. In order to stop this we will now put the bins out on the curbside Thursday

mornings. We will be putting the bins near the gate Wednesday evenings. We have had discussions with the Latrobe Council who will be collecting our refuse after 8.30am. If you see the bins at our gate Wednesday afternoons please leave them within the school boundaries. Annual privacy reminder Our school collects, uses, discloses and stores student and parent personal information for standard school functions or where permitted by law, as stated in the Schools’ Privacy Policy

Please take time to remind yourself of the school’s collection statement, found on our website [add link to your school’s collection statement].

For more information about privacy, see: Schools’ Privacy Policy – information for parents. This information also available in nine community languages.

Coronavirus advice for parents, families and school communities You may be aware of the outbreak of a novel coronavirus in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. The Australian Government has advised that there is no cause for alarm with respect to the coronavirus and that the risk to the Australian public remains relatively low. The Department of Education and Training has consulted with Victoria’s Chief Health Officer and Department of Health and Human Services to provide advice to parents, families and school communities. We have attached this to our newsletter, uploaded it to our Website and placed a copy on our Families Communication Noticeboard opposite the staffroom. Susan Duncan CONGRATULATIONS Well done to our students who have passed their recent grading at the Yinnar and District Judo Club. This is no easy task and requires a great deal of practice.
