How can you save money while also helping the environment? By recycling, that’s how! Many people know about recycling but not many people know how to recycle. With Stockton’s single-stream recycling cart, it’s fast, easy and convenient. Best of all, it can save you money!

Make the most of the City’s curbside recycling service by sorting and placing recyclables such as paper, plastic, cans, glass and scrap metal inside your recycling cart instead of your trash cart. Small appliances such as a blender, waffle iron, toaster and hair dryer can also be placed inside your recycling cart. (Just remember to remove the cord before placing the small appliance inside the recycling cart and place the cord inside your trash cart.) By removing recyclables from the trash cart and placing them inside your recycling cart, you can reduce the size of your trash cart. Not only does this benefit the environment by reducing the amount of waste that goes to landfills but it also saves

YOU money on your garbage bill!

For a complete list of acceptable items that can be placed inside your recycling cart, check out our “Recyclables List” available at www.stocktongov.com/files/RecyclablesList.pdf or call Allied Waste at 209-466-3604 for more information.
