Pupils from all the
schools, as well as their
teachers visited the local
cities of Canterbury and
Rochester, along withtheir cathedrals as part
of the project, for which
all schools were given a
Comenius grant.
The partners also spent
a day within the school
itself, allowing students
to spend time together
playing games and mak-
ing friends, and the
teachers to exchangeideas and experiences.
As well as an introduc-
tion to British culture,
students at The Abbey
were given an insight
into all the cultures they
have yet to experience
On the 14th November,
partner schools from
Poland, Spain, Italy,
Germany, Cyprus and
Greece descended uponThe Abbey School in
Faversham, Kent for the
first mobility of the
European Multicultural
Landscapes project.
throughout the duration
of this two year project.
But it was not all project
work, as students spentthe day in London as
part of the projects
wider aims of cultural
exchange. The guests
enjoyed an open bus
tour of the city which
took them to all the ma-
jor sites, such as Big Ben,
the London Eye, and
Trafalgar Square.
Some of the photosfrom the visit can be
seen in the centre pages
of the newsletter, with
thanks to all those part-
ners who have submit-
ted photographs.
