    Those of you who joined us in Istanbul wouldhave had a sneak peak at the new iCSicommunity website, but for those of you whomissed it here it is!

    We have upgraded our site to be more up-to-date colourful and informative for ourcommunity.

    Some of the highlights of the new site:

    The iCSi community directory - we've now got a directory ofiCSi community members and we need your information!Please email your contact details and a short summary of yourpatient organisation to David Rawlings([email protected]) for uploading.

    Fact sheets - we now have a number of fact sheets on varioustopics and in various languages. There are more fact sheets

    being developed and they will be uploaded to the site as theybecome available.

    Updated news . The new site allows us to regularly post newsinformation from any member of the iCSi community. So if youhave any information or news which you would like to sharewith your colleagues, please email David([email protected]) and we can add it to the site.

    The new website also has the capacity for regional alliances to sendtheir own newsletters through the site. If you wish to set up and usethis service please let David know and we will provide you withinformation to allow you to do this.

    What a great time in Istanbul!

    What a great time we had at our meeting inIstanbul!

    It is always good to meet with colleaguesand those of some of the excitingdevelopments around the world.

    Program highlights:

    Sandra Dill presented some very informative material on thechildless family, often an unspoken phrase in the field ofinfertility.

    Rosella Bartolucci gave us an overview of restrictive legislationand the Vatican from Italy - and the wonderful success in

    having the law overturned to make IVF treatment safer andmore effective for patients.

    David Rawlings gave us an entertaining presentation on thesacred cow of male infertility and help them deal with theissues that this brings.

    Laure Cambrieaux gave us the French Connection a greatpresentation about surrogacy, prejudice and governments

    Petra Thorn warned us on Cross-Border ReproductiveTourism: Be Careful What You Wish For.

    Ritah provided us with an exciting overview of the work beingdone in Uganda and the development of patient support incentral Africa.

    The presentations are available for download in thesection of the site.

    Supporting patients in UgandaiCSi coordinators Dr Petra Thorn and SandraDill were invited as speakers to an historicmeeting in Kampala hosted by the IFFS andiCSi and the World Health Organisation wasrepresented.

    This resulted in a unanimous resolution to establish an IVF clinic atMulago teaching hospital and found the Fertility Society of Uganda(FSU). This initiative has been spearheaded by iCSi member Rita

    Sembuya who has worked tirelessly to broaden access to IVF forwomen in Uganda.

    She has been supported in her efforts by Dr Byamugisha, Chair of O &G at Makerere University near Mulago hospital. In addition to Rita, twoiCSi coordinators have been appointed to the Board.

    Osaka in 2012

    We are planning to meet in Osaka, Japan

    from 31 August to 2 September 2012 inconjunction with the ASPIRE meeting. It willbe a full program over three days which willinclude a conference social program for'accompanying persons'. Osaka is close toKyoto and Tokyo so this will be a greatopportunity to have a brief holiday either

    before or after the conference.
