In Readers’ Workshop, we will be launching Historical Fiction Reading Groups. The students will work in their groups and have discussions on the books they are reading.

In the Writers’ Workshop, we will be focusing on Realistic Fiction Writing during a Historical Time Period.

Math In Go Math!, we are preparing

for the New York State Mathematics Exam and the students are working diligently on test-prep concepts.

Science/Social Studies In Science, we will be preparing for

the New York Science Exam through test prep.

Important Dates:

4/4 Parent Workshop: “Reading the Weather – Reading the World” - Parents examine the reading skills through a Science text from 2:30 to 3:10 PM.

4/10 -4/18 Spring Recess 4/25 Parent Workshop:

“Math Test Sophistication” – Parents examine test prep materials from 2:30 – 3:10 PM.

4/26 Parents in the Classroom: “Angles and the use of a Protractor” (Parents will use a protractor to find angles and identify them from 8:15 Am to 9:00 AM.)
