The GCFC and the Tennis Club Green/White will conclude all their outdoor activities by mid-September. Our Stammtisch and Skat players continue their activities. Back are our Choir Lyra, Seniors Group and Accordion Club. By no means whatsoever is the German Canadian Club retreating into a long winters nap. There are many upcoming indoor activities and events scheduled for all our members, their families and friends. Our Oktoberfest Committee is preparing diligently for this year’s event and interest in this annual event is very promising, once again. Our theme is Munich’s own Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest tent. The main hall and beverage room shall be decorated in this theme. The kitchen shall be open for both days with Anna providing your favorite Oktoberfest meal. Music will be provided, once again, by Twin City Alpine Echo. Our Intermission entertainment shall be provided by K-W Schuhplattler on Saturday and a special guest group on Friday. Oktoberfest ticket inquiries are already beginning and we hope to have a full house at our events on both nights. Tickets will be available earlier this year. I encourage you all to purchase your tickets for this event as early as possible so you will not be disappointed. Reservations are accepted for tables of 8 or more. These reservations shall be valid up to 7:00 pm each evening. We extend a very heartfelt invitation to everyone to come to the Club. Come and watch, participate and enjoy the many events the GCC has to offer. For additional information please check our website and Facebook. September 2017

FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK

Dear Members and friends of the German Canadian Club

Once again, another month has passed and activities at the German Canadian Club slowly drift towards more events conducive to the Fall season.

Regards

Juergen Belle, President GCC
