Archiving Agents
Migrating from the Exchange Mailbox (Classic) Agent to the Exchange Mailbox Agent - Early Release Feature
You can import your archived or backed up messages from the Exchange Mailbox (Classic) Agent and OnePass for Exchange Mailbox (Classic) into the Exchange Mailbox Agent and continue to protect the messages using the Exchange Mailbox Agent.
Key Features
Some of the benefits of transitioning from the classic agent to the Exchange Mailbox Agent are:
Content is managed at the user level, rather than at the subclient level.
Using a single subclient and adding proxies dynamically eliminates the need to manage load balancing across multiple subclients.
All content is associated with one Exchange Mailbox client, which makes it simple to scale your data protection system horizontally when you add multiple proxies.

Solutions Tiered Cloud Storage at the File Level with Reference Copy Subclients
With Reference Copy subclients, you can define criteria to move archived or deleted data from the source subclient to more inexpensive cloud storage. You can also set retention settings to delete the data on the source subclient for a tiered storage approach. Both the data in primary storage and the data in cloud storage are managed from the same backup set, so managing the data is easier.
Key Features
Move deleted data from source subclients to cloud storage
Move archived data from source subclients to cloud storage
Manage source data and data in cloud storage from the same backup set
Setup Requirements
Clients must be using Indexing V2.

NFS ObjectStore - Early Release Feature NFS Object Store provides an NFS interface to the Commvault Content Store so that users can protect and
recover their data by using native NFS client software. NFS ObjectStore does not require a dedicated Commvault Data Agent package on clients. NFS shares are mounted on clients and then become part of the file system namespace and are accessible to applications through the native file system interface. Applications can seamlessly access their data directly from the backup media. NFS ObjectStore can support powerful use cases, for example running SQL queries on database backups without actually recovering entire database.
Administrators can add and manage NFS ObjectStore shares through the CommCell Console, or through a command line interface.
Key Features
Provides a native NFS interface for users.
No additional software required on the NFS clients.
Supports multiple versions of files.
Setup Requirements
A CommServe server.

A Linux MediaAgent with the NFS ObjectStore software. The NFS ObjectStore software runs the service that provides an NFS server that interfaces with the ContentStore. A configured disk cache provides quick access to recently used data.
An Analytics Engine. This can be located on the same machine as the CommServe, or on a different
machine. This is automatically installed with the MediaAgent on Windows machines.
A backup MediaAgent. You can install the MediaAgent on the same machine as NFS ObjectStore, or a different machine.
NFS Clients. NFS Clients are any machines that can mount an NFSv3 or NFSv4 share.
