NEWSLETTERSEPTIEMBRE-DICIEMBRE
On the 15th of November, after two and a half months of intense work, we finally closed the design process. Throughout all September and October the team was hard at work designing what will be the must complicated and most innovative car in the history of ETSEIB Motorsport. It will be the first prototype with four wheel drive and regenerative braking.

To make this happen, a series of changes have had to be made: new motors, new batteries and new
monocoque which at the same time supposed a new aerodynamic package, new transmission and a new suspension. In conclusion, a completely new car. This has proven to be a really big challenge, but with hard work and lots of effort the design was completed just in time for the deadline. DRIVER SELECTION PROCESS
DESIGN STAGE COMPLETED
6th and 7th of October we had the pleasure of being invited to participate in the biggest electric vehicle and efficiency technology event in Southern Europe: Expoelectric. Hundreds of people visited our stand attracted by the display of our CAT11e .We answered their questions and gave them the chance to jump in our car to experience the feeling of being behind the wheel of Formula Student race car.
After closing the design of the CAT12e, some well-deserved downtime was needed, so the team organised a team building day. We started the day’s activities at a go-kart track near Barcelona where we started looking for potential drivers for the CAT12e. The couple of runs around the go-kart track were used to preselect some candidates.

As some of you may know, we celebrated a Networking Day last 24th of November at the Barcelona circuit of Montmeló. This event was the perfect opportunity for our sponsors to meet the CAT11e and see it in action. It was also an occasion for them to interact with other companies and with the team. The day started with a small presentation by our Team Leaders to the companies. They explained the results achieved by the team during the summer competitions as well as our future goals and projects.
NETWORKING DAY
This was followed by a demonstration of the CAT11e: our pilots performed a SkidPad, an Acceleration and an Autocross. Afterwards the companies had a chance to chat with the teammates and other attendants while enjoying a nice breakfast. We have received very positive feedback and we will
work very hard to make next year’s edition even better.
