Newsletter December 2015
Dear everyone who is involved in the work of Asia Care Foundation,
On behalf of Bob and the board we wish you a nice Christmas and a good
2016. In this sixth newsletter we present an update about some of the projects
of Asia Care Foundation.
Halfway house
A couple of the Karen tribe with children had bought some land and started
building a house on it. The father of this family is deceased and the widow
could not finish the house. With money from Asia Care Foundation this house
will be finished.
This halfway house will be finished by support of Asia Care Foundation
New project: Another orphanage
Besides the orphanage in Bob's hometown, now there is also contact with an
orphanage in Padeng. This orphanage has 23 children and is led by a young
couple of the Karen tribe. This house was supported by a foreigner, but he is
deceased and the house has absolutely no support there anymore.
The children of the orphanage in Padeng
They urgently need food. Bob has already brought rice, shrimp paste, oil and
salt and will continue to do so monthly. Through the church where he goes, the
Power of Love Church, he received second-hand clothes and toys for these
orphans, which he already delivered. Bob is looking for what the foundation can
do besides for this group of children.
This year Asia Care Foundation donated at the orphanage in Bob's home town a
fridge / freezer, full size washer and many kitchen attributes.
Roof
The goat farm which was started with money from Asia Care Foundation needs
a roof. This is to prevent the goats for getting sick by the passing birds with
their droppings. Asia Care Foundation will assume the costs herefore and for
the motorcycle with a sidecar that is needed to get food for the goats.
This goat farm will be covered
Bob in the Netherlands
From the fourth week of August 2016 to the second week of October 2016 Bob
is in the Netherlands for seven weeks. When dates and places about
presentations of Bob about his work become available, these will be shown on
the website under the heading "News".
If you wish to organize a meeting for this: Bob likes to give presentations this
period, either briefly during a service or an evening-filling presentation. Contact
[email protected] to make an appointment with him.
Long-distance travels
In late November, Bob went along with a trip with the Rescue Phetkasem
Foundation. They've been with a few cars in 4.5 days (2280km) to the province
of Tak. Bob has brought there two thousand kilos of rice, but also different
types of soft drinks, candy, disposable cups etc. Most likely he will participate
again in January 2016 with a convoy of fifteen to twenty cars.
These rice, lemonade and sweets have been brought in Tak by Bob
