Dear Parents,

The excitement at the Co-Op is beginning to build as the anticipation for the upcoming holidays and winter break begins! This time of year signals a huge growth in the kids as well as a sense of settling in of each classroom. Each class and child is comfortable with the routine, expectations and the fun factor.

On Thursday AND Friday, December 19 & 20 we will have our annual Holiday Concert in the Big Hall at 9:30 am. The children will perform a variety of holiday songs and then return to their classrooms to have a special snack with their friends.

***Mrs. Holden’s class and Mrs. Sheehan will be performing both days!!

At the conclusion of school on December 20th we will begin our winter break and school will reopen January 6th, 2020!!

When we return in January, we will begin the registration process for the 2020-2021 school year. On Jan 6 & 7 I will be accepting registration forms from currently enrolled families.. Please return your forms ASAP as we will open enrollment to the public February 1!

We have been very fortunate with the weather thus far, however it will soon be very cold and I would like to remind you to be sure that your child comes to school with a LABELED hat, mittens, snow boots, snow pants and jacket. I cannot stress enough how much we appreciate labeled clothing. It makes the teachers and the parent helper’s job much easier when trying to get the children dressed and undressed. We will go out if the temperature is 32 degrees or above.

In the event of snow, we will cancel school based upon the town of Chelmsford closings. If public school is can-celed because of the weather we will close as well. If Chelmsford has a delay, our HALF day program will cancel but our FULL day program will follow the delay for Chelmsford. Please watch any of the news channels carefully for Chelmsford Public’s announcement.

Wishing you all a very happy and healthy holiday season!! -Suzanne

Thank You to Our Volunteers Thank you to Nicole Krenning, Tobi McGovern, Cody Signore, and Sydnye Whitaker-Wilke for participating in the November Playground Clean-Up! We would also like to thank all of our wonderful room parents for all that they do!

Each hand has a gift needed to fulfill a Christmas wish. You can find the Santa Fund Tree at the top of the hallway where Mrs. Dionne greets everyone each day.

This program has been run in Chelmsford for years and directly supports families in our community. For some, these will be their only gifts this Christmas. We appreciate your generosity in helping to make these families’ Christmas a lot brighter. Gifts are due by December 16th and 17th.

The Hand Print Wreath is a fun way to add a personal touch to your decorations this hoilday season. Have them either trace their hand on green paper, or if you're daring, have them place their hand in green paint to make a wreath. Add some red berries and a bow to make the wreath complete! What you will need: Construction PaperPaint Scissors Ribbon

The Snow Globe is a great way to get your kids excited for the snow and to re-use those old baby jars. Simply remove the label from the jar and wash. Glue your object to the lid and let it sit for 24 hours. Add 5 drops of glycerin to your distilled water as well as your glitter. Close the lid and shake! It's super simple and a lot of fun! What you will need: Baby Food JarsMini Object (anything you like really) glitter Glycerin (at the Walmart pharmacy) Glass or Bead Glue Glitter Distilled Water *There are a few tutorials online if you find yourself having trouble with the directions above or if you're having difficulty finding all of the supplies listed.
