WELCOME BACK!! IN THIS ISSUE

Wow! It’s already the end of October. Here are some health office updates:

ALL DENTAL FORMS WERE DUE BY OCTOBER 15TH FOR 7TH GRADERS. PLEASE CONTINUE TO SEND THEM IN IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO.

HEARING SCREENINGS WERE COMPLETED FOR ALL 7TH GRADERS, SPECIAL ED AND NEW STUDENTS (REFERRALS TO FOLLOW IF NEEDED)

HEIGHTS AND WEIGHTS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED FOR ALL

STUDENTS WITH PE THIS SEMESTER.

SCOLIOSIS SCREENINGS WILL OCCUR FOR 7TH GRADE STUDENTS IN PE CLASS. DATES TO COME SHORTLY(PARENT NOTE NEEDED FOR STUDENT TO BE EXCUSED)

VISION SCREENINGS WILL BE DONE ON ALL STUDENTS BEGINNING IN JANUARY

TURNED IN DIRECTLY TO COACHES, NOT TO THE NURSE’S OFFICE

STUDENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO TEXT PARENTS TO PICK THEM UP WHEN THEY ARE SICK WITHOUT BEING MEDICALLY EVALUATED BY THE NURSE FIRST. PLEASE REINFORCE WITH YOUR STUDENTS THAT THEY MUST SEE THE NURSE IF THEY ARE ILL. WE WILL CALL YOU!

PARENTS MUST COMPLETE THE EMERGENCY FORM ON THE PARENT PORTAL EVERY YEAR. THIS GIVES US PERMISSION TO GET YOUR STUDENT EMERGENCY TREATMENT IF NEEDED AND GIVES US PERMISSION TO ADMINISTER TYLENOL AND/OR IBUPROFEN IF YOU DESIRE. PLEASE COMPLETE THIS ASAP

PLEASE CONTACT THE HEALTH ROOM IF YOUR STUDENT HAS A SERIOUS ILLNESS OR HOSPITALIZATION, AN INJURY SUCH AS A CONCUSSION OR FRACTURE

PLEASE PROVIDE US WITH UPDATED IMMUNIZATIONS EACH TIME YOUR STUDENT RECEIVES SHOTS

If your student is injured during the sports season or has a significant illness requiring a visit to the doctor, they must be RECLEARED TO RETURN TO PARTICIPATION IN SPORTS which requires SECTIONS 7 AND 8 OF THE PIAA FORMS TO BE COMPLETED. Turn these forms in directly to the coach.

FEAST again will be providing home cooked meals for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter The distribution dates are as follows: Thanksgiving 11/22, 4pm-7pm, Christmas 12/23, 3pm-6pm, Easter, TBD Pick up will be at: Warrington Firehouse 2310 Freedoms Way Warrington, PA In addition to meals, FEAST is able to offer winter coats while supplies last.
