Button a Shirt
Children buttoned a shirt as part of EPL (Exercise for
Practical Life) activity. This activity enhanced their fine
motor skills and hand and eye coordination.

Doctor’s Visit
The students of senior KG had an interactive session with
their virtual guest Dr.Chitrapriya who explained to them
how to take care of their senses.

My Yellow Things
The children of KG celebrated Yellow day by dressing up in
yellow and sharing one yellow object they had at home.
They also created a yellow corner with the available items.

Number Pair of 5
Students of grade I represented number pairs using
pictures without using addition and subtraction symbols to
improve their applied thinking skills.

Before, After, In between
Students of grade II represented a number using real
objects and identified the number that came before and
after it.

Classroom Corner
To facilitate independent learning, students of grade I
created a class corner in their homes to display their
work.

Tamil Words
Students of grade I came up with new words in Tamil with
the given set of letters.

Kite in the Sky Site
Grade II children made their own kites and flew them.

TIE Class
Theatre-in-education classes help students to improve
their communication skills and overcome fear. Students of
grade II were a part of this engaging session.

Well-Being Activities
Well-being activities are a part of the regular school
routine at CVM even during their virtual classes.

Adding And Subtracting 1s, 10s, 100s
And 1000s & Modeling Abacus
Grade III children modeled an abacus to make a four
digit number to know the place value of its digits.

Leaf Art
Leaf Art was an interesting activity done by the students
of grade III where they created animals, wall craft,
basket weaving ,bookmark making and collage on
leaves.

Book Talk
Children narrated folktales from different countries to
their friends during their Reading period. Ms. Mallika
Ganapathy, special educator from Chennai, observed it
and shared her reflections.

Standard and Expanded Form
Students of grade IV cut numbers from a
calendar/newspaper and created their favourite 7/8
digit numbers.

Rounding off to the Nearest Number
Grade IV children researched on the number of persons
infected by COVID-19 among the top five affected
countries in the world. They rounded off those numbers to
the nearest 10s,100s,1000s and 10,000s.

Model making - Houses
Houses from the past and the present were compared
by students of grade IV through models and drawings.

Significance of Jobs
Grade IV children made posters on professionals, the
nature of their jobs and understood their contribution to
society.

Grade V children created Diorama and described
an event that happened in their neighbourhood.

As part of integrating art and craft in English, grade V
children did origami and made 2-D and 3-D artpieces.

webinar gave an insight on the Role of Tradition and
Culture in a child's inner growth and self-identity.

Father’s Day
On the occasion of Father’s day, students across grades
wrote Haikus, prepared delicious dishes, made greeting
cards, bookmarks and photo frames to express their love
and affection for their father.

Students along with teachers wrote poems, made posters,
demonstrated asanas, conducted quiz and sang songs to
observe International Yoga day.

Students in Virtual Classroom
Students of grade XII discussed the topic ‘Income and
Expenses’ and shared their learning through Jamboard tool.

In the story “How I taught my Grandmother to read “, the
grandmother and granddaughter bear the theme of love and
human relationship. The story depicts that learning can
happen at any age. As an extension to the story, students
taught their grandmothers to play some modern games and
in turn learnt to make healthy snacks and craft work using
palm leaves and traditional games.

Nitish S.I of grade XII attended online JUNEMUN. He
was part of the Joint Crisis Committee(JCC). where he
was the commander of armed forces in the Iraq war
cabinet .He was awarded the best delegate.

The lesson "Packing" deals with the two assistant characters
who perpetually let the author get annoyed by being
irresponsibly idle when he has lot of work. Students showed
how responsible they were at home, in connection with the
lesson “ Packing”.
