HUGE SUCCESS!

On Monday the 14th of May, The Bowen Neighbourhood Centre and The Cooinda Family Centre

hosted Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea at the CWA Hall.

This year saw The Bowen Neighbourhood Centre and The Cooinda Family Centre catering for over

100 community members and raising over $1000 to such a great cause.

One of our amazing volunteers at The Bowen Neighbourhood Centre, Maryanne Tetley shaved her head for the Leukaemia Foundation at The Biggest Morning Tea and has raised over $1000 so far.

A huge congratulations to Maryanne for her bravery on taking part in such a great cause!

All of the donations made across the country go towards helping our local Cancer Council achieve its mission of a cancer free future.

If you or someone you know is suffering from this disastrous disease, The Bowen Hospital welcome you to their Cancer Support Group every last Wednesday of the month. Call Natasha at The Bowen Hospital on 4786 8222 for more details.
