From Never Throw Rice at a Pisces,by Stacey Wolf, $13.95
Realistically, there are a lot of thingsto consider when setting a date...
At this point, knowing your Moonsign can be helpful. When you get mar-ried, you become an emotional mix ofyou & your groom’s Moon signs & theMoon sign of your marriage. You maywant to explore a Moon sign that willgive you both individuality & as a couplesome qualities you might feel you havebeen missing from birth. If you are fullof fun & flighty Air signs, you might wantto look into choosing an Earth sign forstability or a Water sign for more emo-tional connection. On the other hand,if you both have down-to-earth Moonsigns, you may wish to choose one thatbrings you a little spontaneity, travel, andfun. (© Stacey Wolf, 2007)
Their hair always looks invitinglymussed up, and here are the famousbedroom eyes of Racquel Welch &
Princess Caroline of Monaco, both ofwhom have Pisces rising. These bigbloopy eyes rank with Capricorn rising asthe most gorgeous orbs of the zodiac. Pi-sces rising people look like fish-faces.These poetic, sneaky, imaginative, bright, dreamy, restless, sensitive people must beHIGHLY SELECTIVE in choosing envi-ronments and people; they soak up every-thing that goes on around them. Fortu-nately most of them are intuitive, and theirinsight helps them to avoid the sleaze. They can choose the wrong people andneed to check the facts. They can be strongand brave enough to flow with God’s plan;they can play victim and serve as ace mar-tyrs; they’re sharp con artists, too. It’s all inhow they choose. Some of them are so un-worldly they will swish around the depart-ment store until you find them the exit...but then can save your life. – $21.95

The symbol for the Earth is ¿ repre-senting the globe with its horizonand meridian. Try showing it in
your natal chart in the Sign and degreeopposite that held by the Sun – also in itsprogressed position opposite the pro-gressed Sun. The house the Earth’s sym-bol is in reveals the life mission; the housethe Sun is in shows the department whereyou shine best in expressing your life’smission; because what is shown by theEarth symbol is shone on by the directlight from the Great Lamp itself.
This writer considers the Earth to bedignified in Aquarius, Sign of the Broth-erhood of Man we are to attain on Earth:and exalted in Libra, the Sign of Justiceand Equality for all on Earth – through“reflecting” the dignity and exaltation ofthe Sun in the opposite Signs Leo andAries, as she does.
First of all, read her symbol at birthaccording to what is ruled by the houseit is in, indicating where the mission lies.It is public-&-personal if angular (that is,in the 1st, 10th, 7th or 4th) and private-&-material if succedent (2nd, 5th, 8th or11th); and semi-private-&-semi-publicalong the lines of service and dissemina-tion of information if cadent (3rd, 6th,9th or 12th) where it takes a personal in-terest in impersonal affairs and an imper-sonal interest in personal affairs at oneand the same time - as between a teacher& pupil, employer & employee, clergy-man & churchgoer, etc. If the two sym-bols are square to the Ascendant, thenative is likely to go to unnecessary ex-tremes in forwarding his mission in lifebecause he confuses the issue. – All OverThe Earth Astrologically, $22.95 © IvyM. Richard Harold Naylor, 1889-1952,is famous as the first the first “SunSign” newspaper astrologer. He first
comes to our attention as an assistant tothe Irish Cheiro (pen name of William JohnWarner, 1866-1936, one of the leadingclairvoyants/astrologers of his day, and per-haps the greatest palmist of all time).
In 1930, the House of Windsor cel-ebrated the birth of Princess Margaret, on21 August. Her father, Prince Albert, Dukeof York, was at the time second in line tothe British throne. Her elder sister, was,of course, Elizabeth II. (I mention the ob-vious as not all my readers are Anglo-American.)
In celebration of the event, London’sSunday Express asked Cheiro to delineateher horoscope. When he wasn’t available,Naylor took his place. In an article pub-lished on August 24, Naylor predicted thatMargaret’s seventh birthday would beeventful (her uncle abdicated, placing herfather on the throne). He supplementedhis notes with mundane forecasts (typicalof the time) and closed with forecasts forthose whose birthdays fell the week ofAugust 24-30.
Response was tremendous. On August31, Naylor published forecasts for thosewith birthdays in September, day by day. This was followed on October 5 by fore-casts for those born in October. Sevendays later saw the start of “What The StarsForetell This Week”, which ran every weekinto the 1940’s.
Initially, Naylor did not write a sun-signcolumn as we now understand it, as he didnot base his work on signs, but actual daysof the year. This was presumably done bymeans of untimed solar returns. Instant fame(Naylor had unwittingly created the no. 1newspaper feature of all time) and attendantoverwork forced him to reconsider his fore-cast methods. In 1935, after some experi-mentation, he gradually introduced what wenow know as Sun-Sign astrology, which isbased on the Moon’s daily position. Ed-ward Lyndoe was his contemporary and ri-val. – Notes adapted from Wiki, and AHistory of Horoscopic Astrology, by JamesH. Holden, $29.95

The Pisces dog is anadorable pet, and bigor small needs abso-lutely loads of affec-tion. He will go to anyone who willpat him on the head or stroke him.Never leaves your side, even whenwalking, so he is a joy to be with. Also he gives you an excuse to takethat much needed stroll.
Left alone at home, while you goshopping or whatever, he will hanghis head and look mournfully at youas you leave.
They are real people dogs and youcan easily relate to this one. Defi-nitely will blubber all over you, sobe prepared for undying affection.
Sometimes they seem to see andreact to things that are not readily ap-parent to your sight. Could be discon-certing or amusing, depending on yourframe of mind. - © Marian Futterman,1976, Your Dog and Astrology, $3.00.Yes, Marian, we still have copies.

It is usually favorable to let the signon the radical ascendant be also onthe electional ascendant if it is not af-
flicted; and the signs on the tenth and elev-enth radical cusps make good ascendasntsalways provided that they are fortunatepositions in the birth map and that theirrulers are unafflicted. In any case, it is help-ful to place the lord of the radical ascen-dant in an angle or suceedent house of theelectional map and oriental of the sun, nomatter whether it is a benefic or malefic;and to avoid placing it in a cadent house orin an occidental position, especially if withthe Moon. A malefic that happens to bethe ruler of the radical ascendant may bemade use of in elections, for it is not harm-ful to the person whose ruler it is. It is saidthat the radical ascendant should not bemoved against the earth’s rotation, or inother words, that it should be upon the12th, 11th or 10th house of the electionalmap rather than upon the 2nd, 3rd or 4th.– Electional Astrology, Robson, $19.95

AMOR: In the glyph for Amor [a circlebisected with a vertical line - Dave], I seethe divided heart – the duality betweenthe knowledge of unconditional divinelove and the need for boundaries on hu-man or earthly loving. The sign, houseand aspect pattern of Amor demonstratethe conditions that are put on “uncondi-tional giving/loving,” they show whatkeeps you from living up to your own ide-als & expectations of what “real” love is.They show what you substitute for loveand what constitutes role models, experi-ence & examples of “true, perfect and idealLove” in your model of the universe. Asalways, each aspect has its “bane” and its“blessing.” There is, with each planet con-tacted by aspect to Amor, [by sign andthrough the house]: instances, moments, and experiences [characterized by the sign, house and aspecting planet] that matchedthe expectation (ah, the lure, the seductivepower, of intermittent reinforcement!] Andthis fulfilled expectation (regardless of howbrief or under what circumstances) keepsthe human-mouse begging at the same doorin the maze looking for that love again.
Where you find natal Amor tied up in anopposition, you find a classic case of “oppo-sites attract;” loved ones play devil’s advocate;they test you on what should be accepted inthe name of love. Here there are repeatedrelationship experiences under circumstancesthat are very different than and frustrating tothe hard aspect.... from Mechanics of the Fu-ture Asteroids, $22.95
