Pastors Notes:

As Im typing this, it is gettingdark, the thunder is rolling andthe rain is about to come. Im

believing that same thing in the realm of theSpirit. I heard the rumblings and believe that Spiritual rain in on the way!!!! GLORY TOGOD!!! The Lord has moved wonderfully in our services the last several weeks. There has beena great spirit of worship among the people and the Lord is responded to that worship. There alsohas been a wonderful freedom for people to move to the altar and seek the Lord for whatever

their needs are. This is wonderful!!!!! Us touching God and God touching us! Let us not growweary in what we are doing, but press even the more. Lets keep praying, fasting, seeking Godand see His hand continuing to move among us.

I wanted to say a special THANK YOUto Pastor Shealy for bringing the Word the last 2Sunday nights. He is an awesome minister of the gospel and always has a Word from the Lord.We are blessed that he will be speaking the last 2 Wednesday nights of this month as well.Please mark your calendar and be here. That is August 21 & 28. Please be here as we study theWord of God together.

BAND OF BROTHERS: Over the last several years, Bro. Jason Hayes has led the Mens

Ministry called BAND OF BROTHERS. Recently, Bro. Hayes felt the release of the Lord fromthe leadership of the Mens Ministry. I want to publically say thank you to Bro. Hayes for hishelping to restructure the Mens Ministry and develop the committees that function so well andto set the course for the direction we needed to go. Under his leadership, a consistent meetingnight has been established, with food, fellowship and teaching being part of the evening. Alsoprayer has been a vital part of the mens meeting as well. There has been an active arm of MensMinistry that has provided labor on building projects.some at home and some in othertowns/cities. I also appreciate the great heart and spirit that Bro. Hayes led us with. He evenhelped us launch doing the Mens Resolution services and trying to train Men to become the bestDads & husbands they can be. I hope you will let Bro. Jason Hayes know how much we loveand appreciate him and all that he has done for the BAND OF BROTHERS!!!

Beginning on September 7th, Bro. Allen Durham will begin leading the Band of Brothers andworking with the committees that were already established. Bro. Durham led Mens Ministry atanother church before returning back to Woodruff. Bro. Jason feels good about this decision andbelieves that the Band of Brothers will continue to move forward and build strong men for theKingdom of God. ALL MEN ARE INVITED TO KICK OFF the new church year by being atthe meeting on SEPTEMBER 5th at 6:00 PM. We look forward to seeing you then!

Special State Mens Rally, September 21st. 9:30 AM5:00 PM. Special guests are Steve

Chapman, Hunter & Fisherman for God, Bobby Richardson, former NY Yankee Baseballlegend, praise & worship, other special things..BUCKYs BBQ. Sign up sheet in the hall wayof the church. $35 for men & boys 13-18 is $20. Lets have a good group of men to attend.This is located at the Mauldin Camp Ground, so its at our back door!!!!!

SIGN UP SHEETS FORJUST ASK T-SHIRTS are on the desk in the lobby. The 1st 150people to sign up, their shirt is FREE. All others, shirts will be $5.00 and money must be paidbefore the shirt will be ordered. Deadline for the first shirt order is August 29th.

FALLFEST DATE: October 5-6 MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!!!!Sunday afternoon singing under the tent at 4:00 PM.Its going to be a great weekend!

If you are interested in teaching or assisting in and adult, youth orchildrens Sunday School class for the 2013-2014 church year, pleasesee Pastor Jason. Dont let your talents go unused.

We will be holding Teacher/Worker nominations THIS SundayAugust 18th. Please be in prayer for who to nominate or elect.

We are in need of two volunteers for 2 and 3 year class on Wednesday night. See Ms Donnaif you would like to Volunteer!

Ladies Munch Bunch will be meeting Wednesday, August 14th in the CLC forlunch. Contact Janet Sloan if you are interested in coming. Thank you!

A very special THANK YOU for everyone that helped out in any way to support the Jamaican

Mission Trip this year. The trip was a success and a lot of positive things came out of it. I

hope that you will plan to attend the Jamaican Mission Trip Service on Sunday Night, August

25 to hear all about the trip. ~Pastor Jason & Team

VBS Update- Our balloon release was a success. One even went 135 miles! We got an email

this week from a family in Woodleaf, North Carolina. Im amazed that those balloons can travel

that far! What a way to witness and tell the world about Jesus. Sometimes the small things we

do make big, eternal impacts. We are excited about what God is doing.

SAM NEWS:

The Primetimers Choir will be singing this Sunday evening in the worship service and we will go

over our songs at 5 PM before that service. Please make sure that you are in the choir by 5 PM.

We will be singing older songs that most of you are familiar with, so lets fill up every chair for

this service.

AMISH TRIP:

We are just about ready to go over the top on this trip, but we still have room for "YOU" if you

want to go with us. We will be making our deposit no later than this coming Sunday. Thanks toall of you who have chosen to travel with us. We look forward to a great time of fun and

fellowship as we visit the Billy Graham Library and Museum, drive through the Shenandoah

Valley, go to Gettysburg Battlefields, visit Hershey's Chocolate World, get to see the Amish

country and people up close and personal, experience "NOAH" in one of the most beautiful

theaters in America, eat until you can't eat anymore at "Good and Plenty", and shop until you

drop at the Amish Village etc.

If you have any interest in this trip please feel free to call Pastor Shealy at the church or either of

the following numbers. (616-9578 or 676-9549) But do it quickly or you may miss out on a great

opportunity.

Drama Practice will stet back this Sunday at 4:45pm.

Praise and Worship practice for all team members Sunday at 5:15pm.

Back To School Sunday Night Live is scheduled for Sunday Night, August 18. Please be here for

this special night!

Jello/Water Wars is scheduled for August 24 at the Youth Building. This will begin at 4pm!

Sunday, August 18- Praise and Worship Practice 4:45 & Drama 5:15

Saturday August 17 Back to School Bash at Look Up Lodge. We will leave church at 8:00 AM,

Please if your balance is not paid bring it with you on Saturday morning. If you have any

question what to bring, please see the letter that was handed out on Sunday. If you would like

to go and have not signed up Wednesday is the last day to sign up and pay. IF you have any

other further question see Ms. Donna.

Need Volunteers: If you would like to Volunteer to work in Extreme Kidz church on Sunday

Mornings, Sunday Night, Wednesday night, or in the Nursery please see Ms. Donna.

August 31 Extreme Kidz Lunch to Community, if you would like to donate bread, sandwich

meat, chips, bottled water, or Ziploc bags please see Ms. Donna.

My God is an awesome God. Sunday services The Lord blessed the people. One came to the

feet of God, and with tears he said you have to teach me how to read his word. Praise God, He
