    Dear Parents and Carers, Thank you to those of you who supported our Chinese NewYear Meal in school today and I hope that those of you who go to China Town over the

    weekend enjoy the festivities. I am sure Reception Class will enjoy their China Town

    Trip on Monday. Year 6 are looking forward to their residential trip to Glaramara next

    week and I would like to say a special thank you to the staff, including Ms Peacock, Ms

    Jackson, and Mr Stoneman who are giving up their evenings and family time to go with

    the children because without them the trip could not go ahead. Toni Elliott

    Celebration Assembly: Monday 9:109:30 amYou are welcome to join us for this event. we will text you if your child is to receive a

    special award. Birthday cards are presented in Celebration Assembly to children having

    birthdays during the week or upcoming weekend.

    SPOTLIGHT

    Today saw some children from years 4 and 5 compete in aswimming gala at Wythenshaw baths. We are very proud of

    all the children and their sporting abilities here at BarlowHall and a big well done to all of the children who took part

    today.It is chinese new year this Sunday and the children have been

    learning all about what Chinese New Year is and how it iscelebrated. To top off all this wonderful learning and

    celebration, many of the children enjoyed a delicious chineselunch today. Reception children (and staff) and lookingforward to their trip to China Town on Monday and ofcourse sampling some authentic foods. Xin Nian Kuai Le

    everyone!

    E-Safety Meeting

    Reminder: E Safety training for parents, Tuesday February3:15 pm to 4:15 pm, if you are interested and would like to

    join us to find out more about safeguarding your child on theinternet but havent signed up for the session please let the

    office know by Monday at the latest.*****Some lucky selected children in year 5 have been working oncreating a 'Dragon's Den' style invention and pitch all basedon the science of melted chocolate. They will pitching their

    creations and business ideas to a panel of 'Dragons' alongsidechildren from 8 other local primary school during the firstweek back after half term. Watch out for photos and news

    on the school blog!***

    Red Nose Day

    Red noses for this years Comic Relief Appeal will be on salein the office from Monday priced at 1. We will also be

    having our annual Red Day in support of the appeal on Friday15th March where children can come into school wearing

    their own clothes and preferably something red, for adonation of 1 which will be sent to the Comic Relief appeal.
