    ROAD SAFETYIce Cream Party

The middle school, Team 2 went on a walk last Friday around our community. We went because this week is Road Safety week. The message that we wanted to get across was slow down and look out for kids. We had a great time walking around and chanting messages to the other pedestrians and drivers around us.

We are celebrating Road Safety Week this week and the theme is : Look Out For Kids !

The Enviro Warriors went out on the road with the placards to encourage parents to slow down around schools.

All the students are learning about using the road safely and in the Middle School, the students had a "Giant Walk" last week to persuade the drivers to look out for kids and to keep them safe on the road.

In A3 WALT work as a group to complete our reciprocal reading tasks. There are 5 roles in reciprocal reading: the summariser, questioner, leader, predictor and clarifier. The summariser is the person who retells the story in their own words, the leader is the person who helps and leads the story. The predictor is the one that says what will happen next. The clarifier is the one who says I dont know what a word is or what it means and the group helps them to find out. The questioner will always ask you questions about the story. We are learning to do reciprocal reading in our groups to help each other understand what we read without the teachers help.Mama said that reciprocal reading is fun because we get to read by ourselves.
