Shalom!

I hope our gracious God keeps you and your

family.

May is a month offamily. We always begin

to realize the importance offamily at this time

ofyear. There is a proverb, (Ka Hwa Man Sa

Sung), in South Korea. It means “If yourfamily lives happily together, everythingis going well.” It explains the importance of

family in our life.

Let us imagine together: Someone has

great power and fortune to control the world.

However, ifhe/she does not have a family who

always supports and loves him/her, their life is

unhappy. All Christian’s parents realize the

grace ofGod through dedication and fostering

for their beloved children and grand-children. Similarly, all

children understand God’s grace and love through their

parents who are a safe fence and a shadow. We also realize

God’s grace and love through relationship between family and

family. Therefore, a home is a small Heaven. When all

families love, understand, and serve one another, we can

experience the beautiful life ofthe Kingdom ofGod in our

home. Thanks to the grace ofGod and your consideration, I

realized this truth again in South Korea. While Imet with my

parents, sisters, and brothers whom I have not seen for a long

time, I keenly felt the importance offamily again.

Loving Franklin Grove’s family,

Let us experience God’s grace and love through your beloved

family during this coming May. When we recover joy and

importance ofa small Heaven in our life, everything is going

well in our life. It is the reason why God gave us our beloved

parents, children, and grand-kids. I pray the grace and love of

God will be in your life, family, business, and Franklin Grove

church during this coming May. I love you in Christ Jesus.

From South Korea….

Pastor Hong.

There are times when only a mother's love

Can understand our tears,

Can soothe our disappoints

And calm all ofour fears.

There are times when only a mother's love

Can share the joy we feel

When something we've dreamed about

Quite suddenly is real.

There are times when only a mother's faith

Can help us on life's way

And inspire in us the confidence

We need from day to day.

For a mother's heart and a mother's faith

And a mother's steadfast love

Were fashioned by the angels

And sent from God above.
