SENIOR LEADERSHIP TEAM’S WELCOME
Next week sees the great ADVENTure start. I know that the children are really getting excited
about the lead up to Christmas and all that that entails. Our youngest children have been busy
rehearsing their Nativity plays and I am looking forward to the EYFS production next week. KS2
will begin learning a range of Christmas songs in Assemblies next week.
Don’t forget that the children and staff will be enjoying their Christmas Dinner on Wednesday
12th December and that the Christmas Disco is on Thursday 13th. We are also looking forward to
the FOAP Christmas Fayre on Friday 14th December straight after school. The children are able to
wear their Christmas Jumpers and mufti on the 14th in return for a bottle for the tombola. In the
spirit of Christmas, the children are also invited to wear their Christmas jumpers once again on
Friday 21st – this time with school uniform on the bottom. We are NOT expecting a voluntary
contribution for this as we are aware that this is a very costly time of the year for families.

GIVE US A HAND TO RAISE £50 GRAND!
Our fundraising efforts are off to a good start with our totaliser
currently reading £6363.94, largely thanks to our circus and dads’
football events. As you know, we are aiming to raise £50,000,
holding regular mufti days and other events to help with our target.
If you would like to contribute, there is also an option on your
child’s School Gateway account to donate to our School Fund.
Thank you to all our parents, pupils and staff for your ongoing
efforts to support us!
HOME TIME MESSAGES
If someone else is picking up your child, or you have a home time message that needs to be delivered
to their class, please could you ensure you let the office know by 2:45pm at the latest, unless it is
unavoidable or an emergency. The office gets extremely busy towards the end of the day, and we
cannot guarantee that messages sent in after this time will be delivered. If you have a late message,
do please call the office on 0208 657 7374 rather than emailing, as staff do not always get the chance
to check these at busy times.
CHRISTMAS WREATH WORKSHOPS
Two of our talented mums are running Christmas wreath workshops in December. They also sell
beautiful hand-made baubles which can be personalised and would make lovely gifts. For full details,
please see the flyer at the end of the newsletter (after the diary dates).
CO-OP COMMUNITY FUND
Atwood has been selected as one of the recipients of the Co-op’s Community Fund. If you shop in
the Co-op, your shopping can earn money for the school, which we will be putting towards the new
sensory room. For more details, visit the link below.
