September 2011 – May 2012, Pancevo

.

Rotaract Club Pančevo took part in the Mapability project, as it was suggested by Rotaract Club Pavia, and we decided to support this immensely meaningful project and to provide our city with a platform which would enable people, who are challenged when it comes to their mobility, to move more easily. The project itself requires identifying all factors and obstacles within all the walking routes in the urban area and making a register of these obstacles, with the end goal of making this data available to the future users. Thus a user is enabled to oversee a certain area he may wish to visit or use, in ad-vance, and is enabled to reach decisions accordingly and based on information on access quality, all barriers and their factors needed to be taken into account which are important when moving across a certain distance. We were presented with this idea by our friends from Pavia, and were invited to join the project an their first international partners, and we began these ac-tivities in September 2011. PLACE: Nis National Theatre GOAL: National action – connecting Serbian Rotaractors

National Treasure - the first national action of Serbian clubs created on RTC “Nis – Constantine the Great’s” initiative, was de-signed as an ideal opportunity for clubs to visit each other and allow the members to get to know the entire membership. In doing so, each club is required to add their contribu-tion in the form of cultural and artistic sym-bols of their city to the common pool of na-tional treasures, which it then gives to the next club. In the final act, the chest returned from its tour around Serbia to Niš, full of great spiritual values of the Serbian people. RTC “Nis – Constantine the Great’s” organ-ized an exhibition of collected symbols in Nis National Theatre. LINK: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.386099641426164.80788.151810268188437&type=3

This award, second year in a row, is confirmation of a true development, all in order to raise awareness on social prob-lems in the community, and of course spread good will and friendship. Being awarded this highest recognition by Rotary International for the current Rotary year was a result of active participation in the international campaign "One million smiles a day" which has a simple concept and a big profit for mankind - every day we are obliged to work through a good gesture, or earn one's smile. Fur-thermore, active participation in the campaign END POLIO "This close", initiating the national action – National treasure, as well as regional ones, many other activities in the local commu-nity and participation in a number of interna-tional projects of other Rotaract clubs.

RAC NIS & RAC NOVI SAD– twinning

1919.5.2012

Place :Everyday caffe Goal: Bonding between Rotaract clubs There was always great comunication and respect between Rotaract Club Nis and Rota-ract Club Novi Sad. On May the 19th our two clubs gathered to sign an agreement of fraternisation in order to tighten even further the relationship that surround us. Firstly, the hosts of this event, members of Rotaract Club Nis, met up at local caffe to wait for the arrival of our brothers and sisters from Rotaract Club Novi Sad. And after some usual friends talk, chair-mans of two clubs signed an agreement to mutual pleasure. That called for small celebration, which should mark the start of our long-term com-mitment to fulfill Rotaract goals and im-prove our community.

Albert Einstein, and his Formula for success

Albert Einstein was not only a brilliant scientist, he was gifted in spirit as well. He

was a force to be reckoned with in science and math, and his unique personality ex-

uded life and ethics that abounded, making him a person most would want to get to

know better, and if not know, at least emulate.

Breaking down Einstein’s way of looking at life can only be express in a mathemati-

cal formul

A = X + Y + Z ,

where X is work, Y is play.

What does the Z? - Asked the interviewer - you should keep your mouth shut!
