BETHANY SPORTS APP The Sports Department is launching a new app which will keep you up-to-date and allow you access to all

the latest sporting news at Bethany Christian School.

Team App [available from the App Store or Google Play] are the providers of our app and it is 100% free.

Students and Parent will be able to sign up to received all updated information, calendar, draws, permission slips and a link to

the website. We suggest you create a family email account with Gmail or your provider and use that email address as your

sign in address. This means multiple devices can use the same email address and parents will receive the same information as

their children, if you allow your children access to the app. The Sports Department will have access confirm or deny any

request to be apart of the app.

At this stage there is a small amount of information on the app, but we will be adding to it soon! So sign up to become apart

of the notification list and keep up-to-date with all the latest information!

The Para Districts SAPSASA Athletics Carnival was held on Thursday 9th April in Term one.

It was a beautiful, sunny day for athletics and the athletes from Bethany showed that practice and determination are key

components in achieving success. All our student athletes competed in the right spirit in which we were very proud.

Our students competed in the Large School section for final points along with five other schools. Bethany won for the fifth year in

a row by a great margin and we would like to congratulate all our athletes on a great result.

Throughout the day we won 23 events, came 2nd in 27 and 3rd in 17. This includes winning 5 from 8 relays.

We would like to congratulate the following students who finished first in their individual event and as a result will be picked in

the Para Districts SAPSASA Athletics Team to compete later in the year:

On Friday 1st May, 59 athletes from Bethany Christian School and Temple Christian College attended Athletics SA stadium at Mile

End to compete against the other Christian Schools in the state. For the second year in a row, Bethany competed in division 1

made up of nine schools. Our students tried really hard all day and their efforts are to be commended. Bethany finished in 7 th

place overall.

Throughout the day we achieved 1 first place, 5 second places and 13 third places. This was an overall improvement from last

year. Well done Bethany!

We would like to congratulate our 13 year old boys relay team made up of Tommy Keomoungkhoune, Jacob Villanueva, Noah

Barnes and Jeremy Bassham on their first place.

We also had three of Bethany’s own school records broken on the day. Congratulations

to the following students on their achievement:

Julian Rodriguez 10 Boys 60m Hurdles 12.61 seconds

Ethan Cox 11 Boys 200m 30.67 seconds
