“Love is in the Air” at Serengeti this Valentines week. ! Our Valentine’s Dinner took place last night and was a great success with guests entertained by some beautiful songs by „Veronique‟ from Idols ! The SPOA has established a Conservation Committee, and they ask that anyone who is interested in joining, please contact either Ken Watridge (082 899 4428 or email [email protected]) or Gordon Breetzke at [email protected]. The committee recently released 8 table spoon size baby Leopard Tortoises on the estate. In the last newsflash we highlighted some of the Golf Club policies which are reflected in the Information Bookletand we would like to re-iterate a few more in this issue: * We are concerned about the number of “No Shows”, especially with our corporate members. We request that should corporate members need to cancel a tee time, to please do so at least 48 hours prior and that non corporate members provide at least 24 hours notice. Members will otherwise be liable for payment. * We are also experiencing a problem with cigarette butts littering the golf course. Please respect other golfers and take your litter with you. * We continue to see golfers driving their carts into restricted areas on the golf course. Please would you help us by communicating these policies to your guests. * The pace of play at Serengeti Golf Club, is 2 hours per nine holes with 15 minutes allocated for halfway. Please also ensure that you keep up with the fourball ahead of you (and not the fourball behind you) * Please respect our course marshalls and comply with their requests. Failure to do so may result in your fourball having to skip a hole or forfeit the round. The function and presence of marshalls on the course benefits all players. Thank you Kind regards Golf Management Serengeti Echoes 15 February 2012 Golf Club Newsflash Message from Golf Management We had a winner at the Members & Home Owners Lucky Draw last week !
