Dear Stakeholders,
Nepal has recently embarked on a
new phase by successfully completing
the elections for Constituent
Assembly, a desire which had
remained unfulfilled for 50 years. The
results of the election have clearly
demonstrated that people want
serious and total change. Perhaps the
development strategies, focus on
economy and the ability of the
delivery mechanism to deliver what
people wanted across the mountains
to the low lands of Terai and by
people representing different castes
and ethnic groups remain, to a large
extent, unfulfilled. As a consequence,
new parties have been given a much
larger mandate as against the old
established hands. This is an
important signal which is not only
critical for the people in politics but
also for people in business.
We need to be aware that ourdevelopment efforts have to bechannelized in a direction where we areable to reach out to a larger mass andalso encompass such territories whichotherwise remain outside the ambit ofeconomic activities. This is not only ourdesire but also possible as we arealready working cautiously towards theGroup’s larger involvement ininfrastructure projects like power, construction materials and real estate. These activities obviously will belocated in rural areas which will createfirstly investment and then followed byjob and production. We need toaccelerate the pace and now with noconfusion or no form of double mindmove ahead with full speed and vigour.
We need to simultaneously strengthenour systems and organization if wehave to embark on these major

initiatives which will involve billions ofinvestment. We have come a long waysince we took this decision and throughlarger participation of trainedmanpower of indigenous quality humanresource and through larger emphasison training, we will slowly make theorganization as sustainable in terms ofhuman resource.
Another area of our serious concernand challenge will be to once againturn around our pioneering initiativeswhich remained not so successful inthe past i.e. in the field of real estatedevelopment and beverages, bothalcoholic and non-alcoholic. We needto broaden the geographical reach ofthese projects through larger emphasisfor the coming fiscal year. Anotherarea where we are focusing now is towork with reputed partners who bringin substantial strengths and expertise
and help the Group to expand in largergeographical territories in thesebusinesses.
Lastly, it gives us immense pleasure toinform that after seeing the phase of veryunhealthy competition in the field ofnoodle business, which left many of thenoodle companies closed or suspended,we have been able to turn around thisbusiness and once again move towardsgrowth. Not only our existing capacitiesare fully utilized, our affiliatedinternational capacities are also fullyabsorbed. On both these fronts, we areplanning rapid expansion which will giveus further edge with our competition andmake us more competitive.
We wish to thank all our stakeholdersfor supporting us in many of ourinitiatives; our dedicated staffmembers without whose sincerecommitments these would not havebeen possible. Likewise, I have nodoubts in my mind that with the paceat which the Group is moving forward,we would achieve our statedobjectives without any compromise.

>>Executive Director’s Message
Dear Team,
I am not a micro manager and at this
responsibility level, I can also not
afford to be, given our aspirations
and vision in becoming a leading
player in our core competencies in
this region. My duty is to set
direction, get new avenues for
business, and make necessary
resources available. What I want to
emphasize here is that, this
leadership style puts weight on your
importance as employees, and this is
what I covet everyone to realize first.
You may have noticed that most of
the times I talk about vision, new
competencies, change, and
attitudinal aspects and there is
reason behind it. The world is
becoming a very small place for
business and it has become
imperative to destine yourself for
bigger agendas.
In various forums, we have talkedabout big projects also being the firstbusiness group to have announced thisin a public forum. How much have weachieved? Based on our committment,we have achieved a major milestones

Things are inprogress and it will take time, we justneed to maintain the pace and keepour level of passion high. Existingbusinesses also show a performanceinclination but we have to also acceptthat more can be achieved in our Beerand Cigarette division. Even in theseareas we are taking initiatives whichwill soon show some visible progress.
I offer you challenge, freedom, ideasmanagement, trust / openness, dynamism, and risk taking and it is reallyup to you to craft the steps for creating &sustaining innovation. The timedemands us to be futuristic and it shouldstart from all of us, irrespective of levels.I demand change and update- inknowledge, attitude, styles, structures, technology, systems, and processes-towards attaining the big destiny.

When we turn back the pages of long history of Chaudhary Group we find the
excellence as the symbol of hard and continuous efforts of its stakeholders. Along
with the other prosperous business expansion, CG has been contributing the society
through the trading and service business of Automotives also.

Since Maruti Udyog was established inIndia with an objective ofmanufacturing and providing small andcheaper cars to the world, ChaudharyGroup was awarded with the soledistributorship of Maruti and SuzukiMotor vehicles in the territory of Nepalwith a commercial name of ArunIntercontinental Traders. Soon after thecompany established and started itsactivities in sales, an exclusiveshowroom was established atThapathali. Though Thapathali issituated at the prime location ofKathmandu, it was considered as aprime business area of the city onlyafter the Four wheeler showroom wasestablished.
At the very beginning around 1983“Arun Intercontinental Traders” a namein Automotive business arouse andsold Maruti Brand as well as Suzukibrand Motor vehicles all over Nepal. But at that time it could sell only up to
maximum 10/20 vehicles per monthbecause the road expansion rate wasvery poor in Nepal and the anotherreason behind it was the limitedavailability of Maruti Vehicles from itsManufacturer. Not only this, Peoplewere yet to understand the utility ofsmall cars, which was graduallyunderstood later on. But now thesales of vehicles touched the horizonof 100 vehicles of different categoriesand prospectively the sales of smallcars is increasing day by day.

Its is not only said that “Necessity is themother of Invention” but it has cometrue to the history of ArunIntercontinental Traders that it managedto established a well equipped ,wellmanaged Workshop named “MarutiSuzuki Auto Care centre” to be goodenough with its customers as well as tothe vehicle it sold. Until today the carecenter consist of 2 numbers of Hydrauliclifts,5 Nos of Two post lift, and onenumber of four post lift for the purposeof washing four wheelers. And 67people are contributing their services inregular basis in the center. The companyis proud to own fuel Injector Cleaner, because very rare workshops have this
equipment presented to the service oftheir customers’ vehicles.
Ultimately we have come to a solidconclusion through the efforts andregular thoughts of positive vision, aperson can bring a lot of changes andprosperity and this has come true incase of Chaudhary Group and ArunIntercontinental Traders (Maruti-SuzukiShowroom) due to which such hugeexpansion and up-lift could be possible. And no doubt it may gain that extent ofgrowth that one day the companymight go up to the manufacturing andinternational marketing of the motorVehicles from Nepal.
