Saucon Valley completes the job of con-ducting the most perfectly run champion-ship in golf history—• the 1951 National Amateur — with a round-up of statistics in the Dec. issue of the club magazine, Coun-try Club Topics . . . Overall income of about $100,000 resulted in net profit of $2,598.71, after split with USGA, giving USGA $24,330.07 . . . Ticket sales were approxi-mately $49,000 . . . Especially interesting is labor record showing that in addition to 350 club members working on committees, there were 998 of course and clubhouse regular staff and extras and other persons, including USGA staff and press, working at the championship or al-most 7 people per contestant.
