Awareness programme on Prime Minister Fasal Bima Yojana :
Awareness programme on Prime Minister Fasal Bima Yojana was organized successfully at
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nandurbar on 05.04.2016.
Total 450 farmers from Nandurbar district were
present for this programme. Inauguration of the
programme was done by Hon. Member of Parliament,
Nandurbar Dr. Heenatai Gavit.
Hon. M. P. on this occasion did a commitment to bring
up 100% farming community of Nandurbar district
under Prime Minister crop insurance scheme.
Crop insurance expert Adv. Prakash Patil elaborated
in detail the benefits of Prime Minister Fasal Bhima
Yojana. Adv. Patil took a comparative review of Prime Minister Fasal Bima Yojana with past
agricultural insurance policies.
On this occasion Banana expert, Shri. K. B. Patil also briefed farmers on control of sigatoka in
banana crop.
Agriculture Officer Shri. B. S. Mali spoke on
implementation system of crop insurance policy. Shri.
Kiran Shinde, Branch Manager, Universal Compo
General Insurance, Nasik also focused on importance
of Prime Minster Crop Insurance Scheme. Prof. Sridhar
Desale, Horticulturist from MPKV guided farmers on
Onion storage structures. where as Prof. Bhalchandra
Mhaske gave tips on pest and disease management in
cotton crop.

Kharif Planning Meeting :
Agricultural Department, Nandurbar organised kharif planning meeting on 20th April 2016
under the chairmanship of guardian Minister Shri.
Girishji Mahajan. SMS, Plant Protection, SMS,
Agricultural Engg. were attended the meeting as a
expert along with university scientists.
Shri. Ashok Kamble, Superintendent of Agriculture,
Nandurbar presented the status of seed, fertilizer
allotted to the Nandurbar district. He was also make
aware the house about area production & productivity
of different crops of the district.
Dignitaries Shri. Swarupsing Naik, Shri. Chandrakant
Raghuwanshi, Shri. Vijaykumar Gavit, Shri. Udesing Padvi, MLA, Maharashtra assembly & Shri.
Eknathrao Dawale, Divisional Commissioner, Shri. P. Pradip, Collector, Nandurbar were
present for the meeting.
