Nan Burke, reporting News from the Library: This month we will highlight a novel, “This Life I Live,” by Rory Feek. In this vulnerable book. Roy takes us for the first time into his own challenging life story and what it was like growing up in rural America with little money and even less family. This is the story of a man search- ing for meaning and security in a world that offered neither. And it’s the story of a man who finally gives it all to a power higher than himself and soon meets a young woman who will change his heart forever. A gifted man from nowhere and everywhere in search of something to believe in. A young woman from the Midwest with an angelic voice and deep roots that just needed a place to be planted. This is their story. Two hearts that found each other and touched millions of other hearts along the way. This book will be displayed in the front window of the library. Pastor’s July "Beacon” Article:

Words are inadequate to express my deep appreciation for the hard work that was done behind the scenes to make “Roar”, our 2019 VBS such a huge success. Many tirelessly strove to ensure a wonderful experience for all and that is exactly what we got. Jesus was magnified in every way as we saw so many preschoolers and children learn that “life is wild, but God is good”!! From the bottom of my heart I want to say "thank you” for making it such a wonderful experience!

The Romania Mission team departs on their journey on Friday June 28th and will return on July 8th. Please be in prayer for the team and the communities in which they will be sharing the love of Jesus Christ. I have the marvelous opportunity to travel with them and am honored to serve along-side my great church. As I always say, we are LHBC STRONG!! In Him, Chris
