  • Father’s Day Celebration in SAI International School

    A son’s first hero; a daughter’s first

    love- A DAD!

A father is neither an anchor to hold us back

nor a sail to take us there but a guiding light

whose love shows the way. Such is the love

of a father. Strict yet vulnerable, expressive

yet restrictive, punishing yet rewarding and

to salute this form of unconditional love SAI

International invited the parents of students

of Classes Playgroup to Class 3 to celebrate the gala event of Father’s Day.

The cloud laden skies on the morning of 20th July 2013 could do

little to dampen the spirits of over fifty father-child duos who

filled the Indraprastha Auditorium with their live chatter and

enthusiasm. It was that time of the year again where fathers

forego their ties and suits to adorn the Master Chef hats with

their little ones. The registrations for the gala began at 8.30 am

for which the theme was “Mocktail Masti”. As the fathers set on

to give their best with their little naughty partners, the mothers looked on. It was a delight to

watch the fathers work so diligently to bring up the best

mocktail. The team spirit of each father-child duo was

heartening to watch as the tiny tots helped the fathers in every

possible way. A flight of creative, interesting, beautiful, and

innovative mocktails in a riot of different colors were brought

forward for the awards of Best Mocktail, Best presentation and

Most Innovative idea. Blue Lagoon, Cindrella’s desire,

Cindrella’s Dream, Spider’s web, Tropical island and Rainbow

delight were some of the refreshing mocktails presented to impress the palate of the judge and

Chief Guest- Dr. Bijoy Sahoo, Founder & Chairman of the SAI international School.

In his address to the gathering, Dr. Sahoo congratulated the fathers for putting up a great show

and extended his thanks to the parents for their unwavering support in holistic grooming of the

  • each child. He also applauded the mothers who are the true

anchors of a family. He stated that a Father plays a crucial role in

a child’s development and is the savior, protector, role model,

hero and the king of the world whom every child emulates. He

said that, “Our conduct has a deep and permanent effect on each

child and hence we need to live a life which our children can be

    proud of”

Dr. Sahoo gave away the awards to the respective winners and also a

certificate of participation to each of the participants. The fathers of

Sreyam Satpathy, Koustav Mohanty and Shivansh Ahuja were

adjudged as the first, second and third respectively and awarded

Certificates of Appreciation. The best dressed certificate was

awarded to the father of Siddharth Marandi, best presentation

certificate to father of Aryabrat Jena, best innovation certificate to

father of Aryaditya Amitabh, and the best taste certificate to father of Pratichi Satpathy.

SAI International constantly engages in creative and fun activities

like these to involve the parents in the school curriculum to form

strong bonds with them. While it is accepted around the world

that the first word that a child utters is 'mother', it is also a

universal fact that it is the father towards whom almost every child

looks, as his/her hero. Father’s day is a day dedicated to celebrate

the Icon and real hero, a father!
