Prayers of the People – Leader (written by the Lenten Prayer Group)Heavenly Creator, thank you for always being with us. You provide us with guidance and support and many opportunities. We thank you that you have given us so much to share in family and community. We praise you for your creation and your Word.

Help us to be aware of the needs of our world…

The sick and dying and those who care for them… People who are struggling, including the homeless, lonely, those who cannot find work and those struggling in ways only you know…Those living in war zones and those refugees fleeing the conflicts…Leaders who struggle to use their power wisely and those who choose not to…Those who have dedicated their lives to sharing God’s love and those who have yet to experience that love…Those separated from their families…Your creation that we are not properly caring for…The needs you know for each individual…

We lift these things to you, thankful that you listen, hear and respond. In the name of Jesus, for all this we pray. Amen.

* Closing Hymn “The Church’s One Foundation” # 332* Commissioning and Benediction
