College Enrolment overview

Visa application
1. Send visa template. Includes visa forms and supporting doc list2. Client does medicals with NZ panel doctor3. Client completes visa forms, you scan and send to Marvin for checking4. telephone interview or a short test.

• Get a response from ACG – normally within 24 – 48 hours
• Offer of place (invoice with tuition fee on)
• Enrolment acceptance form (needs to be signed by client)
• Complete accommodation selection form (minimum 2 weeks required to
book homestay)
• Stream confirmation (for level 7 business)
• Send all of this back to Marvin, including proof of payment
• Unconditional letter of acceptance and receipt is then sent by Marvin to
the consultant and the consultant needs to send this to their client.

After submitting to ACG
• At this stage, applicant should have their Medical & Chest X-ray Exam. Contact your local panel
doctor, complete all medical forms, book an appointment and get them done. You can either do this
for your client if you like them or let them do it. Please ensure that they clearly say that they are
applying for a New Zealand Student Visa Medical as if they choose the wrong option there is a
possibility of their visa being refused.
• Fast forward for the visa (important to note)
Medical forms are completed and taken to your panel doctor. The panel doctor will email the
results directly to the embassy as well as to the client. There is no need to submit an original of the
medical as it is emailed directly from the panel doctor to the embassy. The client will need to make
sure that they receive a NZR number which they will need to insert on the medical section of their
visa application.

An email is sent from ACG • Confirming the course that they on, start date, accommodation• Airport collection and baggage claim information • Host family information • Orientation information
The consultant needs to ensure the following• That they have their passport (send a copy to Marvin) • They have the important information printed out (explaining the above) • Access to maintenance funds/ foreign exchange• Their flights are booked (send a copy to Marvin) Book the clients flights (remember a one way flight is permitted, as long as proof of funds for return ticket is shown – as long as they have proof their maintenance money – which they will need to travel with) / alternate accommodation, airport collection (free) and arrange travel insurance.
Regarding the flights: South African passport holders do not require a transit visa if travelling through Australia to NZ if the stopover in OZ is less than 8 hours and they will be arriving and departing from the same terminal. International Student Arrival InformationAuckland International Airport What to carry with you on the plane • A copy of your offer of place and acceptance letter • A copy of a medical certificate from a registered doctor if you are carrying medicines with you
At the Airport • At the airport or when you are on the plane you will be given a Passenger Arrival Card to complete
The form changes from time to time
• Please make sure you are NOT carrying any food, fruit, fish, meat etc. with you • Please make sure you read the Arrival Card and answer the questions correctly. If you are carrying cash you must declare when the value is $NZ10, 000.00 or greater.
If you are not sure how to answer, ask the New Zealand Customs officer after you have collected your bags from the baggage carousel.
• After you have collected your luggage and cleared Immigration, Customs and Agriculture checks proceed to the ARRIVAL AREA. This is found by turning LEFT when you leave the Customs X-ray area and walk towards the McDonalds.
You will be met in the GROUP ARRIVAL AREA of Auckland International Airport by Airport Transfers Ltd (The representatives of the Academic Colleges Group). • The representative of Airport Transfers Ltd will be holding a sign with your name printed on it.
Please note we only make the arrangements for the collection of our enrolled students. If the student is travelling with anyone else who requires a transfer there is an additional cost of $50.00 per person. This payment can be made direct to the driver. If the payment is made directly to ACG the cost is $65.00.
Airport Safety • Your safety and well-being are very important to us. • Please follow the instructions of the representative of Airport Transfers Ltd who will meet you in the GROUP ARRIVAL AREA. • If you are approached by any person who is not a member of Airport Transfers Ltd, please do not enter into a conversation with them, or follow them for any reason. • See http://www.aucklandairport.co.nz/ for further information about the airport.
What to do if you cannot find the representative of Airport Transfers Ltd • If you do not find the representative of Airport Transfers Ltd in the group arrival area within 20 minutes, you should then proceed to the INFORMATION CENTRE. This is clearly marked within the group arrival area. • At the information centre, ask an airport staff member to contact the ACG accommodation emergency number (021 288 9849) or Airport Transfers Ltd (027 445 3778).

On your first day at the College You must bring • Your passport • A copy of your medical/travel insurance policy document if you have arranged your own insurance. • Your NZ address details if we have not arranged your accommodation
Orientation for new students • Your homestay family and the International Centre Support Staff of the Academic Colleges Group will assist you with banking, insurance, bus tickets and other matters relating to your study on your first day. • For students in homestay your host family are required to show you how to get to college and help you to buy bus tickets • Students in city apartments - staff will explain how you can walk to the college. The ACG Queen St Campus is about a 10 minute walk.

Your travel insurance has already been paid for. When you arrive in New Zealand, the College will assist you with activating the policy. Be sure to read through the information pack that has been sent to you via email
• You have your passport, New Zealand Study Visa and other
travel documents in a safe place with your carry on luggage.
• You have your original police clearance (if available), copy of medical, proof of maintenance
and other certificates securely packed in your luggage to take with you.
• You have sorted out your foreign exchange. Check with your
consultant about Bidvest.
• You have read the emails sent from the college about your arrival,
airport pick up and insurance.
