Technology wasn’t as high tech as it is now. The people in the 1900s did have these phones that were connected to their neighbours phones. The way to tell if it was your phone call would be that each ringtone was different . Imagine having to remember one particular tune!

New Zealand nowadays have a lot of different foods. Fish and chips are most famous in NZ and are eaten by thousands of kiwis. L & P is a famous NZ drink. The L stands for lemon and the P stands for Paroa, a small town in New Zealand.

Perfect example of a dress for ladies these days. Most woman wear silk and complicated dresses. They really look pretty.

Now-a-days men wear shirts and ties with jackets. These are mainly worn for business meetings and special occasions.

Fresh seafood was cooked by laying the flesh on a big hot rock. Shellfish was normally eaten raw.

Maori preserved most of the seafood to save for later and

sometimes for trading. Fish and shellfish meat were hung on

poles to dry off in the hot sun. Sometimes they were baked

before hanging.

Today, cooking is an easy thing and everyone can do it. We use all kinds of appliances like the toaster to cook bread, the knife to chop hard things and pots and pans for cooking all kinds of stuff.
