Scope of Work

Borings DN-B-19 and DN-B-20 were completed by Aquifer Drilling and Testing on May 4th and 5th, 2019, to supplement the borings originally obtained and included in the Geotechnical Data Report dated March 13, 2019. Field inspection was performed by Dewberry. Additional borings DN-B-19 and DN-B-20 were accessed via the CSX spur line and were drilled in Triangle Park. The borings were located 63 feet across from each other. The first 5 feet were hand dug to ensure utility precautions. Boring DN-B-19 consisted of Dense Black Silty SAND(Fill) and Gravel from 0-5 feet. Concrete was encountered between 5 and 6 feet. Dense to very dense Course- Fine Grey Black SAND was encountered from 7 to 13 feet. Loose Brown Medium Fine SAND was encountered at 15 to 17 feet. The water table was encountered at 16 feet and very dense, Medium-Fine SAND was encountered from 20-27 below the ground surface (BGS). Top of rock was encountered at a depth of 29 feet. The boring was terminated at 49 feet below ground surface. Boring DN-B-20 was hand dug to 5 feet. Very dense Course -Fine GRAVEL was encountered at 5 to 7 feet. Loose Course- Fine GRAVEL was encountered from 7 to 9 feet. Medium Dense Grey C-F GRAVEL was encountered 13 to 15 feet. The water table was encountered at 16 feet. Very dense Grey/Black SAND was encountered 15 to 17 feet. Loose Brown SAND and some Clay was encountered at 20-22 feet. Dense Brown Silt and weathered rock was encountered at 25 to 27 feet. Top of rock was encountered at a depth of 28 feet. The boring was terminated at 48 feet below ground surface.
