Storage Area place their units on boards for the winter. Whata difference it made last Spring. Both the campsites and ourstorage area typically are very soft come spring and withoutboards being used, units tend to sink in the ground. This causesnot only damage to our sites but could potentially cause damageto your unit. Thanks to all of you who made the extra effortthis fall.

Winter SafetyEach year at this time we stress the importance of safe, responsiblefun here at the resort, especially on Lake Walden. As always, never go out on the lake alone and never go out on the lakewhen the “Lake Ice – Unsafe” sign is displayed at the front gate. Lake Walden is full of springs and is very unpredictable. Oftenice thickness varies by as much as several inches on differentparts of the lake. Last year the lake never froze to the point thatwe felt safe taking the sign down.Hopefully this year it will freezegood and hard and provide for agiant playground.
