“Listen to me, you men of Shechem, That God may listen to

you!


8 “The trees once went forth to anoint a king over them. And they said to the olive tree, ‘Reign over us! ’ 9 But the olive tree said to

them, ‘Should I cease giving my oil, With which they honor God and

men,And go to sway over trees? ’


10 “Then the trees said to the fig tree, ‘You come and reign

over us! ’11 But the fig tree said to them, ‘Should I cease my

sweetness and my good fruit, And go to sway over trees? ’


12 “Then the trees said to the vine, ‘You come and reign over us! ’ 13

But the vine said to them, ‘Should I cease my new wine, Which

cheers both God and men, And go to sway over trees? ’


14 “Then all the trees said to the bramble, ‘You come and reign over us! ’ 15 And the bramble said to the trees, ‘If in truth you anoint me as king over you, Then come and take shelter in my shade;

But if not, let fire come out of the bramble And devour the cedars of

Lebanon! ’


16 “Now therefore, if you have acted in truth and sincerity in making Abimelech king, and if

you have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house, and

have done to him as he deserves—

For all intents and purposes

Trees in scripture usually refers to

people

New Wine Not Just Wine!

I wanted you to see that wine comes

from trees.

We are trees and must produce wine

God wants wine, Men need wine!


The Bible here says it cheers them

Who in our nation does not need

cheering?

Even God scripture says is cheered by

wine

b: To make Glad Or happy

It lifts you up and makes you a different person

Water Turned to Wine

John 2:1-12

1 On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and

the mother of Jesus was there. 2 Now both Jesus and His disciples

were invited to the wedding.

This was an expression that was common at that time in history,

Jesus was not angry or upset nor was he being rude remember he said the same thing in John

19:25-27 he had responsibility as the

What's Water in Scripture

In Ephesians 5:26, concerning the church we read, "That he

might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of

water by the word."


The Psalmist in Psalm 119:9 writes "Wherewithal shall a

young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

Notice it's Fill not just put!

The infilling of the Holy Spirit is not just

a one time event but it is an ongoing experience.

Ephesians 5:18b - be filled with the Spirit. “be being filled” or

“keep on being filled.” (present tense) Ephesians 5:18 can be

understood to mean “be continually filled by the Spirit.” (passive voice)

take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it.

it's the difference between Rhema & Logos, " the letter

kills but the spirit gives life!

SIN TRANSGRESSION AND INIQUITY

Sin

Transgression

Hebrew meaning of Transgression: 1) A

willful deviation from, and therefore rebellion

against, the path of godly living.

Greek meaning of Trans-gression: To go beyond

Overstepping the limits.

Iniquity

Hebrew Meaning of Iniq-uity: Perverseness, bowed

down, twisted, to be bent or crooked, to be wrung out of

course.

“It signifies not merely that which is wrong, but

the tendency to do wrong. Iniquities are second

nature sins, which drive us to repeatedly, continu-

ally commit sin.

Consequences

A perversion of the truth, which leads to error. A perversion of intents, which affects our will.

Sin and Transgression are Verbs and things we do: Iniquity is the bent

condition of what we are.

Iniquity revolves more about the underlying attitudes: Idolatry,

Racism, Gluttony, Covetousness, Unrighteousness, wickedness, law-

lessness.

Consequences

Strong’s Dictionary: H5771 (Iniquity): per-versity, that is, (moral)

evil: Thus sin, when repeated against the

knowledge of God, becomes transgression which, if it continues

long enough, eventually becomes iniquity which

perverts the flesh.

This perversion changes the DNA/RNA structure of

the “flesh” and “beliefs” or “atti-

tudes” resulting in genetic changes

that are passed on from generation to

generation.
