Wilmington.Responsibilities: Leadership and administration of a department comprised of 5 graduate assistants, 1 work study student, 1 office staff associate, 15 tenure track and 3 part-time faculty. Four programs in the department: Undergraduate leadership minor with approximately 100+ students per semester, Graduate programs in: Curriculum, Instruction and Supervision (CIS), Master of School Admnistration (MSA), and Educational Leadership and Administration doctoral program (37 students, Fall 2010 of which 13 graduated December, 2010 from the first cohort). Additionally: organized department mentoring process for non-tenured faculty, facilitation of faculty academic writing and presentations, service, budgeting and fiscal management, organization of program development with the department leadership team which included 5 coordinators, collaboration with school departments, other chairs, administration; representation for department at the school, university and state levels; strategic planning, personnel review and evaluation, coordination of promotion and tenure processes,department course scheduling, budget and fiscal management. MENTORING RESEARCH COLLABORATAIVE for Learning and Development, TAMU, Bryan, TX Responsibilities: Housed at the Texas A&M Center for Distance Learning Research during 2004-2005, at Lamar High School , Bryan ISD during 2005-2007 and located at the TAMU Bell Building in Fall 2007. Supervised all collaborative functions including training, grant writing, research and mentor recruitment; as well as resource material development. Supervised the efforts of 10 trainers, either current graduate students or recently graduated. Provided training for novice mentors through the four day: Developmental Mentoring Training Institute: Pathways to Mentoring. Participants received a comprehensive training notebook (over 300 pages, 10 chapters), Roadmap Notebook for Mentors which matched conceptual levels and appropriate support, CD with all data forms, observation material, conference protocols and formative assessment material. Participants received certificates, networking contacts, a mentoring pin and multiple training artifacts. The MRCLD became a state approved research-based professional development provider in mentoring (2007).

Coordinator: Elementary and Middle Grades Education-Texas A&M University (1998-2002).Responsibilities: A new middle grades certification program was established in Texas; as a result, the entire Early Childhood/Elementary Program was revised and the Middle Grades Program was established with 11 middle grades courses either modified from the earlier elementary program or designed as new courses. Additionally, this involved developing one new middle grades reading course, modifying three middle grades reading courses, modifying 3 instructional courses in ESL/Multicultural and modifying 10 early childhood courses. Efforts coordinated with faculty responsible for their areas, I was charged with the design and development of the majority of the middle grades classes. That transition involved 36 separate courses. Coordinated scheduling for program areas, strategic planning, NCATE preparation and school-university partnerships.
