Measuring Principle
The sample flows continuously into the PAH sensor and through the excimer- lamp ionization region. Here particle-bound PAH molecules are ionized particle-bound PAH molecules are ionized by photoelectric effect and loose an electron.
The charged particles are captured on a filter in an electrometer.
The flow of electrons to neutralize the particles for a current which is corllated to the particle concentration.
