STRAWMAN PROPOSAL
• The needs are great across all modes.
• Doubling the amount of local funding available for local roads, bus transit and bicycle and pedestrian projects is a priority and will improve ride quality and help drive GHG emissions reductions in the transportation sector by:
– Improving the backbone of the transportation system across all modes of road maintenance, active transportation and bus service, while greening the fleet and reducing costs to the most vulnerable populations
– Connecting communities through infrastructure projects, both big and small, that help people move safely and reliably wherever they need to go
• Without a local tax we are greatly disadvantaged.
