Dear All,

Centro MundoLengua is a private international language school and educational tour operator established in 2005 by three people: Yaye Baena (Spain), Stefanie Kempf (Switzerland), and David Hirsch (United States). Centro Mundolengua provides the opportunity to develop or perfect Spanish language abilities to four principle groups:

• Middle/HighSchoolprograms(forgroupsandindividuals). Centro Mundolengua works in conjunction with schools throughout the world in order to develop total Spanish immersion programs. These programs consist of Spanish language, housing with Spanish families, cultural and social activities, and sport and educational tours. Schools may also design their own tour without classes. Additional opportunities include school and sports exchanges, as well as volunteer opportunities.

• Universityprograms(forgroupsandindividuals). Centro Mundolengua has contracts with many major universities in Spain in order to offer numerous study abroad options. Thanks to our collaborating partners, we are able to provide summer, semester, and academic year programs for university students around the globe. Our programs include classes, certified university credits and transcripts, housing with Spanish families, cultural activities, business internships, volunteer opportunities, and educational tours.

• Programsforprofessionals(forgroupsandindividuals). As part of our continuing education programs for teachers, Centro MundoLengua has collaborated with the prestigious College Board since 2005, providing the only accredited Advanced Placement Summer Institute for Spanish language and literature teachers in Spain.

• Programsforadults. Centro MundoLengua offers year-long programs of intensive language and culture programs for adults. These programs consist of language classes (for all levels) and cultural activities. Housing can be provided with Spanish host families, private apartments, hotels, residences, etc.

Centro MundoLengua is headquartered in Seville and counts on a full-time staff of ten professionals, along with state-of-the-art classrooms in the center of the city, minutes away from the Cathedral. We also maintain a presence in the coastal city of Cadiz, with offices and classrooms at the Colegio Salesianos and University of Cadiz.

This course is designed to prepare prospective students to excel in the AP Spanish language course, as well as on the examination. The course is principally for students who will be taking AP the following year in their home schools. You have the opportunity to engage with the community through volunteer work. Additionally, you can add classes. It is an excellent way to fulfill community service requirements in your country, while helping others and learning about Spanish culture.

Some available volunteer opportunities for high school students include:

• Help feed the hungry, paint houses for people in lower socioeconomic standing and sort materials for people

• Support disabled youth and demographic groups that are at risk of social exclusion (immigrants, gypsies, etc.) through sports, art, crafts, educational support, or English and dance classes

• Assist elderly people with mental and physical disabilities

Summer Spanish cuisine and culture

The summer program of cooking and Spanish culture, taught in Spanish, will take place in the kitchen laboratories of the university where the students will cook and taste a wide array of Sevillian and Spanish dishes. Also, the students will discuss different aspects of alimentation like products, producers, history, society, nutrition, culinary technology, food quality, etc.

This intensive Spanish program is designed for beginning, intermediate, or advanced level students that want to improve their Spanish during 3 to 6 weeks. The 3-week variety consists of 90 hours of class with a dynamic and communicative focused pedagogy. Students will drastically improve their oral, auditory, and writing competencies.

Community service program

This civic engagement program is for students who are looking to make a difference in the community and acquire invaluable experience, all while serving the public good. Our university students normally have the opportunity to volunteer in various organizations during the summer, fall, or spring - between one to six months.

The content of this course is centered around the language used by medical professionals, as well as how culture may affect medical professionals, technicians, nurses or emergency personnel. Students will gain a wide knowledge of Spanish medical terms, cultural perspective of the practice of medicine, and confidence to express oneself both orally and in writing.

Visits can be arranged with many different medical professionals like dentists, gynecologists, cardiologists, oncologists, nutritionists, pediatricians, etc.

Through this program, our students have the opportunity to combine local and international business visits with language classes (including Business Spanish) and cultural activities. Groups may also simply opt to participate in a program that solely consists of business visits.

The program consists of weekly Spanish language and culture classes. There are classes for all levels in our new and centrally located teaching center. Classes will be in reduced groups, and divided according to level. In the afternoon, participants will attend cultural visits at the major monuments throughout the city like Plaza de España, the Cathedral, or the Royal Alcazares. The program consists of weekly Spanish language and culture classes. There are classes for all levels in our new and centrally located teaching center. Classes will be in reduced groups, and divided according to level. In the afternoon, participants will attend Spanish cooking classes (vegetables, legumes, eggs, rice, chilled soups, fish and seafood, etc.). Other possible activities include going out to tapas in Seville and tastings (wine, cheese, Iberian products, like ham, etc.)

In the afternoon, participants will attend cultural visits at the major monuments throughout the city like Plaza de España, the Cathedral, or the Royal Alcazares. Also participants will be able to partake in Spanish cooking classes (rice, meat and chilled soups, etc.). Other possible activities include flamenco shows, visiting local, artisan shops, tapas nights, tastings of Iberian products and wine, etc.
